208@ grootblousmile:saw the email, and have joined
207@ superBul:Agree on AB, Between him and Kirsten, I think they will bring the spirit back to the game
211 @ Just For Kicks:
Saw that you have joined… so far it’s me and you… hehehe
Bet you are an Ikeys supporter…. eishhhh
Do you think Smith is signing a few autographs down on the leg boundary? would be a first!
211@ grootblousmile:As usual, I back the winners!
I’m with Kepler, I just don’t understand why Botha didn’t get a look in in this series, I love his passion for the game
215 @ Just For Kicks:
Guess Maties & Ikeys are the favourites again for the Varsity Cup, must say Tuks did well to reach the Final last year, with a bit of direction provided by Heyneke Meyer.
216 @ Just For Kicks:
Yip, was strange… he’s captained the SA ODI side as well, before.
Faf is a decent spinner , i would love to see him bowl a bit under this pressure.
200 up for Sri Lanka.
They’re coasting, it seems
@ grootblousmile:
Firdose Moonda, our South African expert, has this on the Botha non-selection: “Gary Kirsten said a decision was taken to give Robbie P a sustained run since he has never had one and that is the reason Botha is sitting out.”
219@ superBul:He bowled an over or two in Bloem and Kimberly and got carted a bit, but agree, would certainly like to see him bowl here too, as JP just bowling a heap of elephant dung at the moment
This Faf guy must have rubber bones in his body
Batting pp up. Can SA nab a couple of wickets here, or will SL take it away from us now?
224@ Just For Kicks:I think Lopsies answered my question, that over looked like a bowl of macaroni cheese
Damn, we need to get Sangakkara, he’s so settled now!
They have a lot to say about Kirstens choices, i say he is a successful coach , give him some slack.
Steven Milton: “Well I think Gary Kirsten should not worry about what’s fair for an individual player but rather focus on what’s best for his team if that’s the case. Botha offers better batting, marginally better fielding and more importantly, in the context of this game, more intelligent bowling. He does well at halting the oppositions scoring.”
Sri Lanka needs 91 off 80 balls… shades of Kimberley again.
… and they have 7 in the hut, ready to still bat….
Thirimanne and Sangakkara now with over 50 partnership!
Come on, get one of these okes out, man!
12 Overs to go… Sri Lanka needs 84 off 72 balls
That’s about 7 an over…
Here is the statistics…. Duminy and Peterson combined, bowled 54.4 Overs in this series and conceded 292 Runs in this Series. Wait, they have taken combined 5 wickets for an average of 58.4 runs per wicket and an economy rate of 5.35 runs per over. Does not look good”
But all said we need Steyn now
or Winston and Puma
@ superBul:I think it’s great Kirsten has seen what is on offer, there’s some big cricket coming up, so we need to know what we’ve got. What worries me about all the changes, is that we don’t seem to have much back up in the fast bowling department. Parnell hasn’t shown me anything, and Lopsie is always going to be an average bowler in my book at best.
Sri Lanka now accelerating, with ease
There is a lot of Indians commenting on Cricinfo, they just love all the cricket in the World.
Anees: “@ steven, being from india, i will never question Gary Kirstens tactics or what he does..”
It seems like Lopsi has been bowling forever, he’s only in his 7th over.
hold your seats here comes a Morkell hat trick
….
Bowlers really taking a hammering here
236@ superBul:how long must I hold on for?
SL going this at a canter now, are they late for a flight?
Sri lanka 250 up
