Stormers lock De Kock Steenkamp says their young players are aiming to build on the win over Boland when they take on the Lions.
Bolla is on a mission this year.
Veteran scrumhalf Bolla Conradie produced a stand-out performance against Boland and showed a fair amount of enterprise at the base of the scrum, setting up attacks on Boland’s defence.
“I’m at a stage where I play for fun but I’m working hard by training twice a day,” said Conradie, who captained the Cavaliers to the Currie Cup First Division title last season.
“I am prepared for a good pre-season and nobody knows what will happen, as long as I keep working hard.”
Come on Parnell, you are gifting it to them, far too full and in the slot
Parnell is bowling k#k, what happened to him, shot his bolt?

Still determined to stick to that leg stump, I wonder what the theory is?
Damn, Sri Lanka still going well and over 150 already.
It is starting to rain here in the Panne… wonder what the rain’s going to do at the Wanderers.
Drinks at the Bullring 150/2 after 25, chasing 313 to win
@ Just For Kicks:
WP have something we seldom have , players they them-self hate more than we hate them. Bolla, The Mechanic, The Puke……
I know others hate Bakkies, JP, Chilli , but at least WE love them.
Swapnil R: “@Sid: Just before the end of the 22nd over the umpires weren’t discussing whether to continue but about the fake dive put in by Faf du Plessis – some new ICC regulation I guess – why would it matter – someone care to elaborate?” I hadn’t heard of this rule before today.
For those wondering what happened, in the 22nd over Sanga played the ball towards deep square leg and took a single, du Plessis chased after it and saw that the man in the deep would field that, he still dived and faked throwing the ball at the stumps. Apparently this is frowned on by the ICC. No idea why.
192@ superBul:It’s called charity, as much as we hate them, we feel sorry for them and employ them when no one else wants them!
I think thats a goner, great effort JP, what a catch, low down
Biased, but thats good to me
Given not out. Bad luck, but probably the right one
Par scores after 27 overs: 142 for 2; 151 for 3
a poor delivery from Peterson results in a wicket, or did it? it was short and sat up for Chandimal to hammer, he pulled it powerfully, Duminy was at midwicket, plucked a low hard chance to his left, he didn’t collect cleanly, juggled it on to his body as he rolled over, and after several plucks at it he hangs on, the doubt seems to be about whether he got his fingers under it when Duminy grabbed it after Chandimal smashed it, loads of replays here, it’s not conclusive, Duminy wasn’t sure either
loads of replays here, it’s not conclusive, Duminy wasn’t sure either, Chandimal lives on due to a lack of conclusive evidence, the crowd doesn’t like the decision, loud boos around the ground
Just hope the rain holds off, this is where SA started to up the RR, SL falling behind a bit now, below 6
Sangakkara to 50 off 54 balls. Well done
Sangakara 311 matches 9858 runs 138* H/S 37.91 avv
KC Sangakkara 50* (54b 5×4)
LD Chandimal 13* (27b)
WD Parnell 7-0-44-0
RJ Peterson 5-0-24-0
Luck just not with the boys today, that ball just short of AB
I like the maturity that AB shows as captain, this way he might get many Umpires on his side. He does not over react, or did i miss somethings?
WICKETTTTT! Chandimal caught AB off Parnell for 20 off 35
Parnell gets klapped at 6 and over but he is the only guy taking some wickets.
Again ABs face shows how he loves this game. I just love his way of playing.
By the way, I’ve just set up a Rugby-Talk Varsity Cup 2012 pool for SuperBru as well and invited all those registered for our other 2 pools to join in as well.
Spread the word!
This is a much more exciting gams than the first 3, who ever wins, I am on the edge of my seat
Par score after 31 overs: 173 for 3; 185 for 4.
