AB went to 125 not out off only 98 balls… wow, wow, wow!
That is a massive 45 balls quicker than Biff had for his 125.
Lets hope the boys have their fielding mojo back for the next innings, and the bowlers are on form
anyone here left who wants GS dropped?
The trick now is not to allow Sri Lanka to build partnerships, whilst keeping the run-rate low.
The pitch now looks like a belter, let’s hope the bowlers can make the ball talk!
93 @ superBul:
We must call for his dropping more often, then he tries harder!
@ grootblousmile:
nee man julle het onnodige druk op die man gesit. lol. Ek hoop regtig hy kry sy vorm behoorlik terug, hy is vir my die enigste speler met die mindset om 300 te maak. Kallis is a great 100 man en AB weer n briljante 150 man. GS is vir my die ou wat 300 in hom het.
Waar kry Rapport al die stories? Vele kere al verkeerd ook.
Pretoria – Blue Bulls director of rugby, Heyneke Meyer, is set to become the new Springbok coach.
The Rapport newspaper has been reliably informed that Meyer and Jurie Roux, CEO of the South African Rugby Union (SARU), met in Pretoria on Saturday to finalise his contract as Bok coach.
The new Springbok coach will officially be named on Friday.
This comes after rumours surfaced last week that Peter de Villiers would be reinstated as coach on an interim basis after Meyer struggled to get a release from his contract at the Blue Bulls.
But according to Rapport, Meyer and the Blue Bulls Company were able to agree terms to release him from his position at the union.
However, some compensation will need to be paid to the Blue Bulls as some directors are still unhappy with Meyer’s departure after he was appointed less than a year ago.
@ superBul:I believe Smith is so bigheaded, he felt he was infallible. I also believe the reaction of the public had the desired effect. He realised he wasn’t the best thing since sliced bread, and had to prove his worth in the team. He has done that, and I hope he has learnt that his place in the team is earned, not a right. He will certainly gain my respect, if he does.
@ superBul:Amla has 300 in him on my book too, but agree, GS does too. Smith has the belligerence, Amla has the patience
97@ superBul:HaHaHa, about the 4th time I have seen this article in the last week. I am telling you Meyer just keeping the seat warm at the Bulls for the Snormonster, till next week!
Right, bring on the 2nd innings
Morkel to open the bowling

agree with you IFF smith had that attitude. But i feel for a player who was worked out and he had to work hard to counter the opponents , they study a player in cricket and they found a flaw in his game and exploited it. If he can work them out i will have the utmost respect for him.
Off course by now you must have seen that I like a stubborn player, i hate the controversial players , if they can be otherwise and still perform i just love it. So Mr Rebel Smith , do your own thing, as long as you win more than losing.
Maybe thats why i like old Divvie too, he is not your prim and proper Pom type.
Lopsie, a little short, and a little wide, and cut for 4 by Dilshan. SL not hanging back

somebody out there hates HM, they always tell him he has got the job and like with a kid they take the lolly from him when he reach out to take it. Cruel. I will send them to hell if i were HM.
If Biff can just sort out his propensity to edge the ball or cut the ball onto his own stumps… then he’ll be all you want him to be, SuperBul.
He takes very long to find the middle of the bat, when he starts out, something drastically wrong with his approach and balance over the ball when he starts batting.
103@ superBul:Very good synopsis, but for me Smith isn’t a rebel. I think he has done a fine job in the past with his batting, I believe he was worked out a long time ago, and he has had to work hard to counteract that. I also believe he plays in a style that makes it very hard to change, so he has had to work harder than most. I believe he just got bigger than the game, and that culminated at the WC. I also like players with attitude, but the greatest players have always had a humbleness about them. Smith didn’t. I do believe, though, that he has learnt humbleness in the last few weeks. And if he has, like I said, he will earn my respect again
Jeeez, Sri Lanka has started like a house on fire…
25 / 0 after only 2.4 overs
105@ superBul:Yup, this secrecy that we have to have the whole time is so stupid. There will always be people who will get hurt aka HM. With all due respect to Divvy, I think the same has happened to him, you just had to hear his interview yesterday to see that. AC, by all accounts has been treated incredibly badly too. Told he is on the short list, and not yet even approached about the job
Check here….
SL mean business here, they’re not going to let this one go too easily
@ grootblousmile:I once asked one of my employees why she insisted on having her front teeth pulled out, and whether she thought it was sexy. She said she knew it was, as no one could give blow jobs like the Cape Coloureds, and you only had to ask the men!
@ Just For Kicks:
I hear your opinion on Smith , i dont know him personally and i dont know Ricky Ponting personally too. But i know Ponting pisses me off, his open mouth chewing , his spitting all over the field and just his manners. Smith might have the same affect on some, and funny i hate some of his mannerisms too, some copied from Ponting.
But his ability was proven and a player with his talent only needs the right guidance to be a folk hero. Hansie Cronje before his fall had that and i believe he got his character from his parents.
Smith is young enough to invest in him another few years, he hight become our record breaker in all batting records.
Although i think that AB is getting brilliant and might be the best.
@ grootblousmile:If you want to know why the men have it done too, look no further than Victor Verster!
Hope rain does not spoil this game….
113@ superBul:I will go with that
Inside edge goes between Tharanga and his stumps for 4. Lucky
Fark, their run rate is double that of SA at the same stage….
Our bowlers will have to pull a few rabbits from the hat here!
some comments on S24 about the Bok Coaching job
Good luck to him and his family. Now comes years of politics, critisism and a thankless job. Hope he takes us to new highs. No more “there are elephants in the street…”
Kan nie glo dat hy so ‘n onbesonne ding wil doen nie, gedink hy is slimmer as dit. Elke dag bring sy eie moeilikheid, om nou nog meer te gaan soek is net ongelooflik.
Only 4 years too late. I wonder now if Bismark will be shunted again for a new interloper.(already under fire?)
And then a comment from JLK,s valley
does this mean that div is on his way to the Bulls ?
and a response
They wont understand him…..that accent is going to kill the boere!!
I don’t know if this is a plan, but too many balls being bowled down leg. As was the case in the last match. I can’t believe it is the plan
