Smith just couldn’t do it. Playing across the line, skies one to Tharanga off Prasads bowling for 28 off 56 balls. SA 76/1
Amla makes another 50, this time at a run a ball. Anyone would think his wife was about to give birth, he is such a hurry!…. Oh yes, she is!
Amla playing with wonderful, controlled aggression today – pleasure to watch
Amla bowled for 55 off 58 by Prasad. SA 94/2
Here comes GBS’s newly adopted son – Duminy ahead of AB. Can he fulfil the role. Interesting to see that they are prepared to move AB around a bit
Nothing much to report at the moment, only excitement was a review for an LBW for Kallis off Herath, but it was going down leg
114/2 after 26
All gone very quiet out on the pitch now, even the band is struggling to get more than 1 musician playing at a a time!
Kallis 24 off 35, JP 17 off 20 – how many days is this match again? SA 126/2 after 29
Drinks 136/2 after 32
Batting power play taken after drinks and Malinga back into attack
op skool wou ek ook boul toe try ek ook so boul soos malinga omdat ek my skouer met rugby ontwrig het,die onnie het my so gekyk en gese smalllies moet jou nie flokken mal hou nie gaan staan eerder op crazey point dan lyk jy normaal
Not long before this game wins the Plascon paint drying award. Bordering on suicidal boredom at the moment
Hello, oh dear looks like have chosen a bad time to log on with Kallis just out, haven’t been following the game for long but looks like we mat be in for a close one.
Kallis out, a shot of pure frustration saw him hole out to the sweeper on the cover boundary for 37 off 51 balls. Caught Chandimal, bowled Prassad
Need to up the run rate a bit, but that shouldn’t be a problem now that AB is at the crease
@ Bullscot:I don’t think it’ll be to tight, but hell it’s been painful watching this one. Soooo slow!
42@ smallies72:HaHaHa
AB playing all the shots – not all are coming off!!
…. but that one did, reverse sweep for 4
Duminy’s had enough, time to open up with a big six, over the roof and out the park!
47@ Just For Kicks:
Yeah I spoke too soon JFK, looks live AB is upping the tempo, had also looked at the RR of 6.00 at the time which was of the last 5 overs and confused that with the RR that was required run rate still, see they only need just over 4.5 per over now.
52@ Bullscot:Yup, got very slow in the middle there. Good to see JP get to his 50
meant to say looks like not looks live oh well do have the wee one with me so only paying half attention is my excuse.
54@ Bullscot:Yeah, blame the little ones!
Ab gone, run out for 17 off 13 runs
55@ Just For Kicks:
no not blaming them just me and my inability to multitask properly being a male and all 🙂
Well, he had to give women something, I suppose!
The drudgery is nearly over 15 needed off 28 balls. Faf has been smacking it around a bit. I always wonder though, we do we make such a meal of it when batting second to a low score. We do it every time. It makes for very boring cricket
Cheap wicket, Faf caught and bowled by Malinga for 18 off 16 balls. Looked like a slower ball, and he just chipped it back to the bowler.SA 224/5. 13 required off 22 balls, and Albie strides to the crease
