27 @ Just For Kicks:
I think Ashley is a bowler, not a batsman…. he get’s a lot of swing on the ball
And 50 for Amla too
31@ grootblousmile:But can he make it turn out of the rough?
33 @ Just For Kicks:
No, he uses line and lenght, aiming for a lot of dot balls
Goeie magtig… that Slinga Malinga’s action should be investigated again… he chucks the ball, he does not bowl!
I see Brad Barrits made it to the England 32, I wonder if he will go all the way. Also they are calling Owen Farrell the new Wilko. How desperate are they in UK. Also Vern Cotter the favourite for the English coaching job all of a sudden. Eish, worse than here
Should be on for a score of 300 here, if not more
GBS, up in the ‘users online’ box, who are the guests shown? are they more bots, or real people, if they are, how can we get them to sign up?
Kallis, playing shots like that is just sublime
38 @ Just For Kicks:
Guests are indicated as Guests, Bots are indicated as bots… bots being search engines.
We can’t force anybody to sign up, but they don’t know what they are missing, not commenting.
Wonder if Amla & Kallis can both go on to reach their tons.
Kallis gone, poor run
Kallis run out, well short too.
So, Kallis gone for 72
SA 153 / 2
Captain AB de Villiers in to bat
40@ grootblousmile:Lets have a competition, open to current subscribers and new signee’s – you work out how it works, and I will donate the prize – Wine for a year. One prize, one winner (otherwise I’ll go bankrupt!). The winner gets a case of wine (6 bottle case) a month for a year. It must be associated with this site though. What do you think?
Very soft dismissal from Kallis, that run was never on
AB opening up already, 4 followed by a 6
sorry, 2 x 4’s
45 @ Just For Kicks:
Let’s do the FIRST Competition with the Varsity Cup…
… and let’s run a bigger Competition for the Super Rugby Competition..
We connect it to SuperBru again, with the proviso that ONLY registered Users of R-T can be part of the R-T SuperBru Pool (new registrations and older registered users).
For Varsity Cup, you can be prize sponsor, but we’ll work on the exact details…. definately not a case a month, that is way too much.
For Super Rugby we must source a big prize for FIRST place, and maybe you can sponsor SECOND place, along the lines of a 6-bottle case per month… or progressively month by month for the frontrunner in our Super Rugby Pool, for the duration of the comp.
I don’t mind, although, I said I would donate for your Superbru thing before, so that is different, I stand by that – by the way, you’ll have to explain to me how the superb thing works, I haven’t got a clue. I am also happy to give a case or 2 for the varsity cup. But would like to give this site a bit of exposure too, that was my real thinking.
50 @ Just For Kicks:
Ideally we should formulate a marketing plan to get new users, and I’ve been threatening to do it… some form of viral Mailer, maybe a weekly or Monthly Newsletter, which we send out and ask all registered users to send on to everybody on their mailing lists maybe.
… Mail me with some suggestions…
I have not had time to do these things man, work always comes first.
50 @ Just For Kicks:
The SuperBru thing is easy… to run one’s own competition requires a lot of admin.
Wish I could find a simple Competition Plugin, which I could re-write for Rugby-Talk, which makes Entering easy, scoring simple, admin of it light and easy…
AB to 50 too, really making Smith look poor
Amla goes to 100
AB de Villiers gets out for 52
Albie Morkel in to bat
50@ grootblousmile:I despise twitter and Facebook, but those are two platforms that would guarantee a few more followers. Every time a new post goes up, we should post the link on both. I have 850 followers on my wine twitter – although I don’t do it much more, I am sure, with some aggressive targeting we could build up a following there. If you like. I will give it a go if you give me the log on details. Someone else can start a Facebook page and do the same there too.
As I write this, Amla makes 100, De Villiers makes a quick 52 then bowled. All set for a good score.
52@ grootblousmile: http://www.justsearchseo.co.uk/downloads/just-search-competition-manager-wordpress-plugin.html. this one looks pretty simple, but a sidebar one like this?
Beeeeeg 6 Morkel over long on
……and gone, down long ons throat
Albie Morkel departs for a quickfire 25 off 17 balls.
Amla perishes next ball for 112
SA 279 / 5 after 45.3 overs
