OK, so South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first
Duminy and Peterson in, didn’t see that one coming! Maybe one of the two, but not both. Honestly thought one of the new boys would have got a cap
Right, enough work for the day, hot as Hades here in Gods own country. Off home for a swim, and then feet up, a beer and some cricket.
Wonder if Biff will go out cheaply again, either with an edge to slips or cutting it onto his own stumps…. he’s sooooooooo good at those 2 shots
Fark, I just said it and Biff edges a ball off Slinga Malinga’s to the slip cordon, out for just 6 runs… out cheap AGAIN!
SA 9 / 1
Slinga Malinga looks like he’s got kak curls growing from his mop.
sooooo
why isnt bif playing?
he cant be out already?
now this is what i would call jinxing someone
..
from cricinfo …
Dilhara Fernando, one of three Sri Lankans to have played at Paarl before, comes on now. Two slips in place. What are the odds on a no-ball to start off?
6.1
Fernando to Amla, 5 wides, 128.5 kph
17 runs from fernando’s over!! good one for sa!!
#10
sorry over wasnt over 😀
1 more run from it …. thanks fernando!!
8 @ Ashley:
I think there’s something wrong with Biff’s eyes…
Wonder if he edges it too when he schtupps his wife… or maybe he cuts it onto his own stumps then too.
No middle for diddle for him, that’s for sure.
From now on, when someone edges a ball I’m going to say he’s Biffed it!
Mmmmm, maybe that’s why Minki left him in the first place and he’s had to settle for an Oirish Girl.
gbs @ 12
thats one place you DONT NEED to look where you’re going, bru …. or do you still need to look AFTER ALL THESE YEARS?
13 @ Ashley:
Fark no, ek bat nogal reguit!
Ek gebruik ook nie net die toon van die bat nie….
Hahahaha
12@ grootblousmile:Damn, didn’t want to agree with you twice in one day, but you’ve hit that one on the head!
Can’t believe he’s out already, but at least the King is knocking it about a bit, walked in as that 6 was played
gbs @ 14
hahaha, nou nie asof daar baie bat is nie!!
I tell you what, this was a good toss to win, it is very hot out there
16 @ Ashley:
Wel, solank my bat lekker bat, het ek nie ‘n saak nie!
gbs @ 18
hoe weet jy? 😀
15 @ Just For Kicks:
Jeeez, I was scarily correct…. within 2 balls from me submitting my comment, Biff was out… in the way I predicted.
14@ grootblousmile:Ah, but are you using a long, or short handled bat? a heavy or light weight bat? Did you knock it in properly before going out to bat? Have you found the sweet spot, or are you just relying on luck? I could go on.
21 @ Just For Kicks:
Man, by now my langhandled heavy bat has been knocked in to perfection.
The sweet spot is hit so regularly, that the bat is fraying at the edges already.
I get a lot of cheers from the expectant crowd….
And the game is not over until the fat lady sings…
Hahaha
22@ grootblousmile:HaHaHa, as long as the lady is smiling, thats all that matters!
#21, 22, 23
how did you guys get to THAT topic? aint you watching cricket?
24 @ Ashley:
We are!
Looks like the pitch is a belter, nice and with no grass on the pitch, very batsman friendly!
Time for drinks…
24@ Ashley:What topic?
24@ Ashley:…..I would have thought that once you have chosen the right bat, you’ll keep the scoreboard ticking over, and the scorer, she’ll be happy!
Kallis on 49
And 50
