aUSTRALIA DEMOLISHED iNDIA IN THE 2ND INNINGS AND BEAT THEM BY 122 RUNS.
iNDIA ONLY HAD TO CHASE 292,
what is our chance?
i would say ZERO
though Gary feels otherwise.
Geez. I turn my back for 2 days and the Proteas wilt like an orchid in the middle of the Karoo.
Where’s the bottle lads?
Guess we all know the answer. If the little flowers can’t flourish with this coaching team, then they are destined to be also rans for time eternity I’m afraid.
Oh, and “Hello all”. Just a flying visit before going off to earn a Zim $ or two for the day.
Guys at the mine busy with a shutdown need some info’, so I guess I better get my rear end into gear.
Enjoy the Crickey, and pray for rain.
goodmorning everyone
ok, now …. can we make it?
i think so …. i wouldnt bet any money on it, but i still think we can pull this one off … yes, i know, the odds are certainly in the sri lankans’ favour, but it has been done before and it can be done again!!
so
goooooooooooooooo chokers!!
#214
on the other hand …. if we lose this test, we may see some much needed change/s in the team for the final test!
hmmmm
37/1 greame smit out for 26
.. nie seker nie, maar het smit/rudolf al ñ 50 run partnership vir die afgelope paar toetse gehad?
Hello,
Biff departing for a poultry 26 is no surprise.
Hope Amla, Rudolph (doubt it), Kallis and AB can score big and set up a possible massive comeback!
rudolph out FOUR balls AFTER LUNCH!!!
jeez, didnt we learn anything from the 1st innings?
kallis gone now
c Paranavitana b Herath 0 (7b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00
sa 97/3
..
2 wickets down after lunch (4 overs) for 11 runs!!
prince sent in before ab …. if i didnt know that i knew absolutely nothing about cricket
i wouldve said that the guys dont know what they’re doing!! 😀
Blommetjies falling like my wife’s newly planted seedlings in the just passed hail storm.
Varking k@k.
amla 51 off 77 balls
amla gone.
well thats it then … sri lanka should wrap this up today, cant see us survive till even tomorrow
… just watched the replays of the run-out … prince was ball watching … although it was a sharp single, he wouldve made it if he listened for his teammate’s call … amla was running to the danger end anyway!!
Eishhhhh, once again Biff, Rudolph, Kallis & Prince doing NOTHING!
Fark, Kallis managed to get 2 x ZERO in his 2 Innings!
Biff: 15 & 26
Rudolph: 7 & 22
Prince: 11 & 7
Now THAT is our frontline batsmen….
It’s all over bar the shouting!
O wille kak… Boucher given out!
Boucher asks for the review!
Yip, Boucher out…
SA 133 / 6
SA 180 / 6
Dale Steyn & AB de Villiers biting the bit hard to stay in as long as possible.
Both of them fighters of note, fighting as hard as they can.
Dale Steyn was not out for 29 in the first innings and 17 now…. better than ALL the SA frontline batsmen.
AB de Villiers had 25 in the first innings and now nearing his half tone, once again better than ALL the frontline SA batsmen.
Dale Steyn up to 23 already…
SA now need 262 to win, with just 4 wickets in hand…. I suppose if a miracle happens it could be done, but it is hardly likely to happen.
Afternoon all, did you get a good look at Bouchers back? It’s the last time you’ll see it walking off a test pitch – I hope! My changes for next match would be Boucher, Rudolph, Prince, Smith (he won’t be out unfortunately), and I’d give De Lange another chance, so Morkel will sit out. De Villiers to keep, Philander back in, then you can choose the batsmen. Would bat all the way down to 9. Bring in some young blood, I say.
I may even drop Tahir, bring back JP Duminee – I know his batting has been pretty woeful, but can’t be worse than the other sludge thats been dished up!
What bothers the shit out of me is the ease with which the SA frontliners went, no fight in them… just a meak and mild capitulation.
Biff gets out with the same type of balls the whole time, they have worked his weaknesses out so easily.
Kallis, what a shame…. 2 ducks…. wonder if it EVER happened to him before this Test.
Rudolph played so slowly, scored so slowly, never took the attack to the Sri Lankans… just hung around to be taken out cheaply.
Prince… serious flaws in his technique, one of the first I would drop like a sack of suds.
I didn’t see it, but Steyn came back really well with his bowling to take a fifer, well done him, I take back my comment from yesterday!
231@ grootblousmile:Yup, it was Kallis’ first double duck in his test career
230 @ Just For Kicks:
Hello!
Fark no to Duminy! Another farker who does NOTHING!
232 @ Just For Kicks:
At least Dale Steyn is a clear fighter…. gives everything even though things did not go his way.
I like that fighting spirit!
I’ll take a bag full of passionate fighters any day over a bunch of talented, gutless farkers riding on reputation only.
234@ grootblousmile:OK then Botha, I just don’t think that for the next few tests, we need an out and out spinner as we are not really playing on any real spinner friendly surfaces – here then UK, so someone who can hold his own with the bat too
Dale Steyn up to 31 with a beautiful 4!
This means he’s scored 60 runs this Test, not out!
What pisses me off about this team, is that is Steyn can bat here and do so well, why can’t the front liners?
236 @ Just For Kicks:
I would pick out and out batsmen… our bowling attack has been good enough. The problem lies in the freegin batting department.
238 @ Just For Kicks:
They are too ensconsed in their positions… our batsmen…
Drop the shits, for them to learn to fight their way back in and know they can and WILL be dropped for sub-standard performances.
