27 @ Blue Bird:
Hello, trust you’ve been well.
A very lazy day here, got up at about 10:00, some members of the family STILL sleeping (BonzaiGBS & BonzaiHandbriekie).
It’s just started raining here in the Panne…
30 @ Blue Bird:
OK, the lights will be brought back…
10 runs PLUS 4 bye’s from De Lange’s last over… that is not good.

Hello all hope you all had a good Christmas, just logged in for a bit and seen the cricket score for the first time looks like SA were doing well but now a good century plus partnership for Sri Lanka currently going well for them on 268 for 5.

40@ superBul:
Hi superBul good to see partnership broken at last, how you doing man?
Some rugby news from the UK current score in Welsh derby in the Raborodirect 12 League: Scarlets leading 16 – 3 against Ospreys in the 37th minute. Ospreys making lots of basic errors, they are also severely depleted by injury in the 2nd row with Ryan Jones playing at lock today! Still no sign of Stefan Watermeyer for Ospreys – last I heard he was waiting for paperwork to work in UK to come through but that was a while ago so not sure whats happening there.
Oh dear previous post should read RaboDirect Pro12 maybe need to get a bit more sleep this side Second half on score still the same. Glasgow play against Edinburgh later should be a good game pity won’t get to see it live. Hope SA take wickets quickly.
50th minute Scarlets 16 Ospreys 9, will post final score later
Final score : Scarlets 22 Ospreys 14
… and in the English Premiership Sale beat Newcastle 27-19 which lifts Sale to third on the log for now.
@ Bullscot:
sorry i was called away from PC, will catch you online soon
@ superBul:
no worries man will be good to have ‘chat’ next time you and I are online at same time. Was interesting reading on of your posts a few days ago about you selling lietchies cause that very day I was looking at a small pack in the shop and worked out at current exchange rate they were going for over R100 a kg! Far too expensive for me as much as I love them and that wasn’t at a wee corner cafe it was at a hypermarket size shop.
Australia all out for triple Nelson 333 quite a good morning for India over there.
In the big game in Edinburgh last night Glasgow scored a try late on to secure a draw against Edinburgh – 23 all. A windy night and Jackson failed to convert the try from a position that was a bit wide out but not that hard for an international kicker, then just before final whistle he took a shot with a penalty from just inside Edinburgh half and was just short looked like ball hit the padding around the lower part of the upright. What was encouraging to see was that there were 6 tries scored in the game nice to see this in the Scottish game.
Tim Visser score two tries for Ediburgh, 2nd one was really good, he is a big strong fast left wing and although Dutch born should qualify in June 2012 to play for Scotland, think he may be called up ASAP once he’s qualified, so a name possibly to remember in future international rugby. Seems like he has been around for a while but he’s only 24 so could play for Scotland for a while and make a big impact.
@ Bullscot:Fresh Litchis bought per crate on the farm cost R120 here, a crate is about 20kgs or a bit more. I sell a 2kg box for R30 now, price might drop to R20 within days.
58.6
Siddle to Dravid, 1 no ball, Siddle’s bowled Dravid with a no-ball Tragedy for Australia. He went right through the Wall. You thought Dravid’s struggle was over. Full length ball, did nothing, just sped past a loose defensive. Dravid’s bat-pad gap was open this time, he got an inside edge onto the pad and it hit the stumps. The umpire asks to check if it was a no-ball. Replays show the heel was in the air as he delivered after marginally touching the crease.
Whooow Can the Aussie commentators moan….hahaha
Moody makes a great point on air. “Why do the umpires check for the doubtful no-ball only if a wicket falls?” Ganguly replies: “Because, otherwise, we’d be playing on for eight hours.” I vote for the Moody school of thought.
“Regarding checking for no-balls when a wicket falls, it’s like the dictum – “The culprits can escape but an innocent must never be punished” Astute, Prashanth. I still don’t agree, though.
Well, Sri Lanka all out eventually for 338, the new man, De Lange taking SEVEN wickets on debut!
Morning all, great bowling by De Lange, and deserved all the wickets. Morkels woeful form continues, another no ball wicket – thats 2 in 2 matches. De Lange certainly can’t be helping his cause. All in all, a pretty good performance by the artichokes, considering it is a much flatter wicket than last weeks. I would expect a high score from the batsmen, although without Philander, the depth of batting looks decidedly thinner. Rudolph is really going to have to come to the party.
We need big innings from all our frontline batsmen.
Biff needs to sort his shit out.
Rudolph needs to get runs and not just hang around, like he is currently doing.
Kallis needs a good ton.
AB de Villiers needs to fire well…
Yup, but this should really be just batting practice from mostly part time lobbers and the odd tweaker. Bread and butter for our boys – as I said, I expect a big one, and will be mighty disappointed if we have to bat again in this match.
