It was in early September 2011 that we reached the milestone of 2 million page impressions on Rugby-Talk.

Well, that milestone has been shattered to bits now, we’ve silently gone over 3 million page impressions, with the last million happening in the short space of only about 3 months!

Thanks a million, or rather a 3-million, to all the Authors, contributors and bloggers on Rugby-Talk for making this web site what it is, for the wonderful atmosphere and the memorable moments.

Remember, the Southern Hemisphere Rugby season for 2011 is now officially over and the last bit of rugby excitement for the year came to an end at the conclusion of the HSBC Sevens World Series Nelson Mandela Bay tournament on Saturday evening.

This does not mean Rugby-Talk grinds to a halt for 2011!

From hereon in we’ll still cover rugby news from early season preparations for the 2012 Super Rugby season, we’ll cover some Northern Hemisphere rugby, some Cricket and we’ll have a whale of a time.

Of course you can also look forward to the Rugby-Talk Christmas Message in a few weeks… or is it days, and thereafter for our New Year Celebrations to herald in 2012.

Regards,

I did not think when I started this monster, that we would be reaching these milestones in the time we did!

The problem is, this thing is addictive… it has changed my life and I’m sure it has changed the lives of a number of others here too.

May rugby live forever and may South African Rugby rise to the heights it deserves to be at!

I have spend so much time here and had times when i felt , dammit SB there is a life out there too. But loyalty means a lot to me, and GBS is not just a convenient pal, he is a true life long friend. Blue Smile you and i can disagree and at times, some felt we must kiss and make up, but we never disrespect each others right to his own opinion. I am glad to be the 2nd most senior talker here and will continue to contribute in the ungodly hours of midnight to this site.

I will try and participate in the game threads when the 2012 season starts, i have a 3G card now.

My own little venture is taking up all my time , but i must say this , i am happier than ever. I should have done this 10 years back.

Congrats to reaching the 3,000,000 mark

wow, 3 million with the last million coming quicker than a Buggati!

Just got back from PE after a great weekend at the Rugby, and a nice game of golf today.

    Flight was absolutely packed.

As nice as the Rugby was, SA / SA’s Rugby fraternity still ahs much to learn.

A great stadium in an absolutely SH1T location.

It’s as bad as Doornfontein ever was, and there’s less parking that the Coke Tin has ever had.

As for the 7’s experience, whilst I appreciate that SAB Miller were an associate sponsor, they really need to teingll the sponsors when to take a hike.

If you wanted an alcoholi beverage at the Rugby, and didn’t feel like a Slet Sap, (Brutal Fruit only), you had a choice of ……. Castle draught or F-All.

I know there were reasons, but FFS, not everyone wants Castle Draught. What about Hansa and Black Label draught that are available at most pubs these days?

Methinks it’s another instance of a monopoly supplier (like DSTV with the Wales/Aus test) just having too much say.

As much as I enjoyed the weekend, I’m not sure I’ll do it again.

Ah well, now for London and the 6N game.

  • 7

It has been lots and lots of fun, even though the site is full of Bulls supporters.

    2 @ superBul:
Nothing wrong with having your priorities around your new and important venture, SuperBees… or should we call you “Groenvingers”… making all the plants grow so nicely.

You would have to help out with the Cricket over the Festive Season, somehow… I’ll try and rope in Kickers to help with the Cricket as well.

    3 @ Scrumdown:
Glad you enjoyed the Sevens…. I of course would not have minded the sletsap, that’s one of my more favourite things to consume!

    4 @ Blue Bird:
Thanks… and we need our resident Pom to visit more, you’ve been rather scarse, with just a quick bob-in every now and then!

    5 @ McLook:
This is the first site I go to as well…. hehehe

Would be good to earn a bit of revenue from the site, specially with an eye on sponsoring a few prizes for the different competitions and such.

Tell you what, I’m a bit gatvol of looking at the same freegin Adverts on our site, so ANY registered Bloggers sending me the material to advertise their businesses on the site will get the exposure for free… you all know how easy it is to mail me… go for it!

    6 @ Just For Kicks:
Glad to have you on board, Kickers…. and thanks for the contributions on the Articles side too! Will you be willing to help out with the Cricket on certain days too?

    7 @ Loosehead:
Mr Loskoppie, the mal VRYSTAAAAATER, good to have you on board to and to be able to teach you some Bulls manners from time to time! Got your mail, will try and make a package up for you in the next 2 days and dispatch it…. with proper instructions…. I know you battle with PC’s….

This is definitely a site for sore eyes!!! Probably the most balanced local rugby site around, easy to navigate, and the guys actually know their rugby, and well, we don’t get personal, even when GBS allowws us to dis each other.

  • 11

    Congratulations guys!

I enjoy your site, variety is the spice of life and all that.

Long may you continue being successful.

  • 12

    9 @ Lion4ever:
The basis around which this site is built, is respect for fellow bloggers.

We may and do differ in the teams we support, but we’re all rugby supporters!

We swear a bit from time to time, get upset with a few rugby results, coaches… players, but we treat one another as friends. Friends communicate well, they trust one another and they respect each other.

May we never deviate from that.

    11 @ Stormersboy:
You know, we cannot talk rugby the whole time, so when rugby is a bit exhausted, we talk about all sorts… and just as well we do it, some very interesting and funny stuff has come out on this blog.

The last thing I want to have to do is play policeman… and with the class of bloggers here, it’s easy to achieve.

    10 @ Loosehead:
Not in the mood to buy a Free State player or supporter…. hehehe

    Dag almal,

So, daar is my lang storie uit, wat dink julle ?

    22 @ Snoek:
    Dankie Stinkvis!

Hoekom so skaars? Gaan jy bietjie goed kuier hier oor die Feestyd?
