Farkit, it’s moooooooooooosa hot today here in The Panne…
Think I should go for a quick dip in the pool…. then pour something stronger than the home made ginger beer I’m having.
@ grootblousmile:You were being optimistic with your score of 100, we’ll be lucky to get to 90
Morne Morkel run out…
Blomme 83 / 9
… maybe I should swim in the innings break… hehehe
@ grootblousmile:Have you got a good ginger beer recipe – and please don’t say it’s grannies secret recipe? I am looking for one
Fark, the ball is still virtually new… 22.4 overs it took for 9 wickets.
34 @ Just For Kicks:
I have a good Ginger beer recipy somewhere… as well as a good Pine Apple Beer recipy… as well as a good Koringbier recipy…. will look for them.
Bought this lot at a Sunday market near here, on Sunday…
I’get your trunks on now, won’t be long before they’re all out
Sjeeez, we’ve just now managed to aviod the Follow-on.
I see the follow on’s been avoided, one small thing to be less embarrassed about!
37 @ Just For Kicks:
Trunks??
…. ek spring sommer punt-innie-wind in die swembad… nobody here but me now…
40@ grootblousmile:ha ha, lucky you. Far too cold to even contemplate taking jersey off, here. Been raining on and off all day. Look forward to the recipes, thanks.
Seems that one has to bat very aggresively against these Aussies.
Dale Steyn is taking them on with purpose, and it seems to be working.
The dilly-dally crowd earlier were too careful and paid the price
Blomme all out for 96
Last one to go was Tahir.
Blomme Innings lasted less than 3 hours, lunch break included….
OK, swim time…
Some how, I just get the impression that we just don’t have that ‘die hard’, killer instinct in the team any more. The days of AD, Fanie, MacMillan, Peter Kirsten, Kuiper, etc gone. It’s not as if we don’t have the talent, we just give up too easily. So reminiscent of the English team.
From cricinfo – “Australia have taken nine wickets after lunch for 47 runs. South Africa have been bowled out for their second lowest total since readmission. Watson took five in a blink of an eye, and Harris cleaned up the rest. This is a stunning turnaround. And the ball didn’t do much at all. Certainly not as much as Steyn and Morkel did with it earlier in the day, when Australia’s tail and Clarke added 70 runs. Watson and Harris just bowled wicket to wicket, with some inswing. Nothing extravagant.”
South Africa – you should be ashamed with that
Effectively the Aussies start the Second Innings at 188 / 0…
If the Blomme cannot get them out really cheaply, then it’s all over, rover!
Ahhhh, wicket!
Dale Steyn strikes
Elementary, my dear Watson….
Edged… Biff drops a sitter
Biff, jou slap wortel!
Aussies 11 / 2
Ponting departs for a Duck
Aussie 13 / 3
… referred…
Was a good catch, just off the grass
15 Wickets in the Day’s play already
I like this little picture…. maybe I should turn it into a smiley!
Phweeeew!!
Aussies 15 / 5
There’s a review though
Decision stands….
SA back in it?
… in with a chance if they can wrap the Aussies up quickly….
Hello mense, goodness what is going on at Newlands, had a look at close of play score yesterday and thought SA in a good position, just seen the latest scores must be a terrible wicket to bat on, this is just not test cricket…
