Sorry, wrong end of the country there!!!
Very funny moment in the rugby, ref taken into ruck, being hit from all sides, couldn’t get his whistle back in his mouth to stop the game
@ Just For Kicks:
Ha ha, sounds amusing. Imagine if the whistle was knocked down the ref’s throat! Could have been very dangerous.
Another try Leinster – D’arcy over in the corner, 29-6 with kick to come
31-6, half time
Back after tea with Kallis on
Game going into a bit of a slump now
Very lazy Sunday afternoon, got the fire going, freezing outside, and I keep nodding off. Cricket must be boring
Even the pitch has gone to sleep
@ Just For Kicks:
I noticed that the weather in the western Cape region remains quite cold for a long time these days. Spring seems to have merged into winter…
@ The_Young_Turk:We’ve had no spring at all, apart from 2 barmy days, yesterday was one of the. Otherwise terrible weather. And the S Westers have gone on much longer than normal. Should be well into the Berg winds now (we are sheltered behind a hill, thus the young plants would be protected), but plants really struggling at the moment, I don’t know if its global warming or not, but over the last 10 years there’s definitely been a climate shift down here
@ Just For Kicks:
Climate is definitely changing all over the world. The only question is how much of it can be attributed to man!
Unless the Artichokers get a bit of fire in their bellies, this game could peter out, especially if the forecast is iffy in Gauteng tomorrow
374@ The_Young_Turk:Yup, and that debate will run and run.
Morkel struggling a bit – Leg byes, no balls and wides, all in the same over!
Aus giving a good fight back at the moment 115/2
Right, I cant see much more happening till tomorrow, so I’m outta here. Will check in tomorrow. Cheers, and thanks for the company
@ Just For Kicks:
Ciao mate.
Have noted there is some rain around Joburg area at the moment so will be interesting to see how much this will affect play, SA will have to get a few wickets within the first hour they get to play at the moment looks to me the game is in Aus favour if they get enough play time plenty of good batting to come if you consider even down to Johnson and Siddle there are options. Has Morkel’s performance been affected by him not opening the bowling? Hope he comes out firing today and bowls to his potential.
@ Bullscot:
I must agree that something is wrong with SA’s new aproach by not bowling Morkell , he was in his hottest form and shot up the rankings, he was in fact getting better results than Steyn. SA had the most lethal opening pair in the world with Steyn and Morkell. The fact that Philander takes wickets is just because they target him. Same would have happened with Morkell.
OK enjoy it if there is any cricket today, i am out for now.
382@ superBul:
Good morning SuperBul long time no “speak” hope your doing well man, yes thats a difficult one, you can’t argue against all the wickets Philander has taken and his bowling has been fairly economical, haven’t watched the game but doesn’t seem that Steyn has been faring well either, I know he took wickets in the 1st innings but did they not come after he had bowled quite a few overs and he hasn’t taken any yet, is he carrying an injury?
Weather looking really miffy here in Gauteng.
The start has been delayed due to rain at Wanderers.
May not see a lot of play today…. unfortunately.
385@ grootblousmile:Good news with the rain…hehe. May it rain the whole day…lol. That will frustrate the Aussies. Had it been sun up today, think they would have won this test. If this is a drawn test we win the series. 🙂
386 @ Puma:
Games is poised on a knife-edge…. a few quick wickets and the Aussies would be in trouble…
… if they don’t lose wickets, the Aussies could well win it at a gallop!
Hate it when the weather decides an outcome of a game… would rather see the game come to a solid conclusion.
388@ grootblousmile:I feel the same, but we don’t have control over the weather. We have lost a few tests due to weather all part of cricket.
See Tahir took Kahwaja. That broke that partnership up. So if they do come out to bat it will be a bit tougher with a new batsman in. Need to take Ponting quick.
389 @ Puma:
Ponting needs to go down and Hussey needs to follow suit….
