The Kwagga being a little more circumspect now, not as aggressive as the 1st over
Amazing that Stey hasn’t taken a wicket yet. Think he is suddenly just going to take a hat-trick.
@ The_Young_Turk:Ha ha, ‘read my lips’, thought I could hear something! With the streaming, do you get the sound too?
If Philander keeps this up, and works on his batting, he could yet be our answer to the all-rounder problem. I have enjoyed watching him in the last 2 tests. He seems to have matured a lot over the pat few months, I really didn’t rate him too much in local cricket, and was only average in the ‘A’ side. Good on him.
Ponting must be due for a big one soon, he is just too good to keep down. Lets just hope it’s not this test
@ Just For Kicks:
Yip you get the full deal. It’s not as sure and simple as tv but it’s been improving rapidly over the years and the last year I’ve found everything at reasonable to good quality. Usually sound is excellent but the picture quality varies…
@ Just For Kicks:
I was just thinking the same thing. He seems to be exactly what the team needs – a good bowler that can bat reasonably. I remember in the past, the SA team had a long tail that usually saved the day for us.
What is the best site for streaming?
337@ The_Young_Turk:Thats right, we’re desperate for another Polly
Howzit Guys.
Can’t see the players still being on the field come 16h00 this afternoon.
Brewing for rain, and the cloud cover is widespread here in JHB.
Stupid to schedule a test to finish on a Monday IMO.
@ Just For Kicks:
I have lots of sites and you must know where to search for new ones when they get shut down. It’s just a matter of keeping in touch and then on various sites like this, you just ask and some one will give you a link.

Howzit@ Scrumdown: Yeah, stupid timetable, rather hoping it finishes today, as I won’t be able to see any of it tomorrow on my tractor!!!
Ciao scrummie. On the other hand you can be like newlands and have the test finish before the weekend…
Difficult to know. I think the test finishing on a Monday is probably the best overall.
@ The_Young_Turk:DSTV is really becoming a joke now, over R700 this month, and all I watch is rugby, cricket, F1 the news and a bit of discovery
DSTV, I mean
It’s incredible that, with this awesome bowling, no more wickets are falling!
Bowlers have taken their fingers off the button a bit, don’t seem to be running in as aggressively
@ Just For Kicks:
Get yourself a big monitor or a tv you can use as a computer monitor and cancel the DSTV subscription. Of course you will need a good internet connection and while i know it’s not so good yet in SA it’s improving all the time and within a year or so, should be at international standards.
Think we need a bowling change. Bring on a slower bowler in tandem with Steyn.
@ The_Young_Turk:Yeah,thats my problem, speed is so slow
out here in the sticks, I have been trying your streaming, and I get a couple of seconds then a long buffering break.
@ Just For Kicks:
DSTV Drifta? According to them it’s the answer to “those on the move”. Truth is it’s a crock of sh1t with VERY limited signal.
I took mine back after 15 minutes and demanded a refund.
My other concern in the SA team is Boucher. With out a doubt probably the best keeper I have ever seen – or at least the most consistent and reliable, but how long can he carry on. He certainly seems to me to be slowing down a bit, and his batting form has been in a fairly long slump now. So I ask, how long do we keep using him before moving on, and I think that we should be grooming a new keeper now. I also think that AB isn’t the answer in tests. We need his batting
@ Just For Kicks:
Yip, I understand that. You’ll have to continue with tv for the time being and just keep checking on the developement of the internet. I know that the infrastructure is being rapidly put in place and by the end of next year sufficient cabling will be in place in all the major centres. Not sure if where you are will benefit immediately, but mobile internet is also improving in leaps and bounds…
@ Scrumdown:Yup, I have the same problem, no coverage here at all, hell, I barely have cell phone coverage. But does the drifta give all the sports channels or just SS1?
@ Just For Kicks:
You right there. Have to groom a keeper that can bat a bit. Are their any potentially good provincial keepers?
I must say, i’ve heard so much about Morkel, but he has been disappointing this series.
@ Just For Kicks:
I think 1,2,3 and Blitz. But signal is essential. Neither my home address or office address in Kempton Park have signal. So it’s useless to me.
The signal can vary in JHB from street to street.
Not really, they’ve tried Tsolikele, Kuhn, Morne forgotton surname and Darren Smit (slow bowler), Vilas not serious contender, and I forget the rest
Tea, Aus 64/2
@ Scrumdown:You’d think that the whole point of the drifta (and the clue’s in the name) is that you’d be using it not where you get tv, so what is the point?
