Well, how was that for a final
What a finish!
Final Score: All Blacks 8 / 7 France
Congrats New Zealand
Sorry France you deserved it more , come cry with us
Give the Frogs all the credit. A braver ref and it could have been different.
Well done France, dit was close….
Now thats over for another 4 years, please can we get back to rugby
Well, congrats to both sides…
All Blacks do it at home after 24 long years!
Good hard game. French can feel aggrieved at the result.
It was always going to be the All Blacks at home… but the French nearly upset the apple cart
246@ The_Young_Turk:
Brave ref’? A fair ref’ more like.
Joubert was k@k with a capital S.
252@ superBul:
Cheers SB. Enjoy the Crikkie.
That was one moerse game. Could have gone any way. Luck decided it on the day. Tough luck France but ABs are the deserved world champions at last.
Magtig… well… what does one say?

@ Scrumdown:
Agree that the ref could have been tougher on the ABs but they are only human like all of us and the occasion gets to them. They don’t do it intentionally.
Nou Manne, WAT DRINK ONS?
Captain has just arrived.
Time for a dop on Marco simoncelli, as well as the death of fair refereeing at the RWC, then a vuurtjie and some cricket.
Another week, and then another New Zealand final, go the Hawera Sharks, give it to the Hawera Lions!
257@ The_Young_Turk:
A level headed and noble response, but VERY different from many that appeared all over the world after the Boks were shafted by the ref in the 1/4’s.
IMO Joubert was at best poor.
A big moment for the AB’s
@ Scrumdown:
I feel that they should involve more technology in refereeing to minimise human error. But we remain human beings mate and we will err.
The Frogs should be proud of themselves, a solid performance. It was just NZ’s turn this year, I am afraid
@ Scrumdown:
What i feel is unfair is the calling of the ref as corrupt or acting under instructions. They can be good or ok or poor on the day, that’s true just like any of us including the players. There is no way to predict that.
And the most relieved person in NZ right now…… Mr G Henry
@ Just For Kicks:
Yes, it is their turn. Brings back memories of our time in ’95, doesn’t it! It meant so much to our nation and still does today to our poor divided country.
The fairy tale ending for the Kiwis.
266@ The_Young_Turk:Absolutely, I was living in the UK in 1995, even there it felt like home, so many Saffa’s
Right, Cheers boys, till next weekend, or the cricket in between. Thanks for your company during the WC, it has been a pleasure!
264@ The_Young_Turk:
I hear what you say, but it was almost as if Joubert saw only fault with the French. No consistency, and allowed the AB’s far too much lattitude on the ground.
All anyone can ask for is consistency. I’m afraid it wasn’t there today.
However on the balance of the tournament I think the best side were the winners.
The Boks were somewhat off the pace.
Isn’t it amazaing that 2 finals in a row have involved teams from the same groups.
