Springboks Akona Ndungane, Deon Stegmann and Dean Greyling are back in the Vodacom Blue Bulls team to play Griquas in an Absa Currie Cup match in Kimberley on Saturday.

Stegmann has recovered from a cheekbone injury that saw him miss almost two months of rugby, Ndungane is fit again after injuring ribs and missing two matches and the cut to his hand that forced Greyling out of a start against the Pumas, has healed sufficiently for the prop to take his regular spot in the front row.

Vodacom Blue Bulls coach Pine Pienaar also moved Gerhard van den Heever from wing to fullback, to fill the position vacated by Zane Kirchner, who joined the Springboks at the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. Rossouw de Klerk injured his ankle and will miss this encounter ensuring Frik Kirsten to retain his place on the bench.

Pienaar admitted that this could be their hardest match of the year.

“The reality is that Griquas could still get past us on the log, so they have everything to play for as well. We will probably need 10 points from our last two games to stay in the play-off race, so it will be two pretty desperate teams taking on each other,” Pienaar said.

“It has always been a massive challenge to go and beat Griquas on their home patch and we will need all the experience we can get to do that. It is therefore very pleasing to welcome back the three Springboks to our team,” Pienaar said.

The team to play Griquas in Kimberley on Saturday, October 8th at 15h00 is: 15 Gerhard van den Heever, 14 Akona Ndungane, 13 Wynand Olivier, 12 Francois Venter, 11 Bjorn Basson, 10 Louis Fouché, 9 Jano Vermaak, 8 CJ Stander, 7 Jacques Potgieter, 6 Deon Stegmann, 5 Juandré Kruger, 4 Flip van der Merwe, 3 Werner Kruger, 2 Gary Botha (C), 1 Dean Greyling.

Replacements:  16 Willie Wepener, 17 Frik Kirsten, 18 Gerrit-Jan van Velze, 19 Arno Botha, 20 Warwick Tecklenburg, 21 Dustin Jinka, 22 Francois Brummer.

Leading Blue Bulls point scorers in 2011:

Louis Fouché 90 (2 tries, 13 conversions, 16 penalties, 2 dropped goals)
Francois Brummer 58 (8 conversions, 14 penalties)
Bjorn Basson 25 (5 tries)

I think I have finally won the war against SPAM here on Rugby-Talk!

We’ve been receiving about 100 false Spam Registration attempts per day on Rugby-Talk…. and now I’ve bliksemmed them all with a viral scourge and electronic countermeasures at source! Not a single Spam attempt this afternoon!

At the same time it protects real Registration attempts, and I’ve employed a Click-Link activation sequence, which works like a charm!

    I am invinceable!

A while ago we had all sorts of Spam Comments which appeared as well, which had to be removed manually. From advertising for “voëlverlengers” to “kwakkiespeelgoed” to freegin generic viagra to Russian Mail order brides… all sorts of nonsense.

I just showed them what a ordentlike lang voël should look like… hehehe… just kidding.

I employed some counter-measures and it has worked wonders!

    @ grootblousmile:
