Griquas tackle the Blue Bulls at Loftus on Friday with their king-pin scrumhalf Sarel Pretorius back in action, after missing the first five founds of the Currie Cup competition.
Pretorius, who has been undergoing intensive rehabilitation and worked hard to get back onto the field after his knee injury, has been included in the run-on side, as has Griquas captain Jonathan Mokuena after missing the last match, also with a knee injury.
The latter’s return ensures that Griquas will play with their number one loose trio combination – with Justin Downey and Davon Raubenheimer on the flanks.
Mokuena replaces Burger Schoeman at No.8 in a straight swap.
Coach Abré Minnie has made three changes to the backline.
Monty Dumond takes over at fullback, not his preferred position, and Barry Geel is replaced by Matt Rosslee at inside centre. Rosslee starts this week, after playing at No.12 for the last 32 minutes against the Leopards last weekend.
Pretorius, of course, is back in place of Marnus Hugo.
Geel and Hugo are on the bench.
