All Blacks (32) 60 / Fiji (0) 14 (Final Score)
The All Blacks hosted Fiji at Carisbrook, Dunedin on Friday 22 July 2011 at 09:35 SA Time (19:35 NZ Time). This was the match thread for discussion of the game. The match was broadcast live on SuperSport 1, SHD & CSN on TV in SA.
As expected, the All Blacks were far too strong for a gutsy Fiji side, with their forwards doing most of the damage.

Tonight is a night when you don’t want to have a bad test in the black jersey. You really don’t.
It’s hard to see how any All Blacks can really advance their cause in this Carisbrook fundraiser that’s generated about as much interest in the deep south as a working party to solve Auckland’s transport problems.
But they could definitely do some serious damage.
Let’s face it, for all the shockwaves sent out by the Samoans last weekend in Sydney, there’s no chance of the All Blacks being ambushed by this Fijian side. Have you seen the lineup? Not so much a who’s who of Fijian rugby, but a who’s that.
And these New Zealanders will not under-estimate the potential firepower of their opponents. No chance.
It’s one of the key differences between All Blacks and Wallaby rugby. Every time a New Zealander pulls on that black jersey he knows he’s being judged. And that’s just by the watching public.
They don’t take opponents lightly for the simple reason that if they do, there’s always someone nipping at their heels to take their place. It pays not to let your guard down when you’re part of this All Blacks outfit, and everyone who runs out tonight will have that at the back of their minds.
This will be a cakewalk for the All Blacks. Make no mistake about that. It may not be 91-0, like it was the last time these two sides squared off in 2005, but it will be in that ballpark. Mid-winter Dunedin conditions might reduce the number a little, but it should still be significant.
These two sides have met in four “official” tests and in every one of those the All Blacks have run amok. Prior to the 91-0 rout, it was 68-18, 71-5 and 74-13. You get the picture.
I just read it will be Carisbrook’s last test match.
Bloodbath
I see the game is on live streaming by DSTV, so at least I can keep half an eye on it.
Just hope the Fijians keep more than half an eye on the game or it might be a long cold night.
How can a game like this help NZ prepare for the WC? Or am I missing something here?
A just cant get excited about this game, too much rugby lately.

Another All Blacks penalty from a Fiji scrum… kickable
All Blacks 11 / 0 after 20 min
Try Colin Slade
All Blacks 18 / 0
a bit fortunate Slade, but the floodgates might open now, Fiji played well for a while but pays with 7 against them
Penalty to Fiji… MaKou not letting go in the tackle… and playing the ball
@ grootblousmile:

The Fiji forwards pack not in the same league as the All Blacks
