Sharks (22) 35 / Blue Bulls (9) 16 (Final Score)
The Sharks hosted the Vodacom Blue Bulls at Kings Park, Durban at 17:05 SA Time. This was the match thread for discussion of the game. The match was broadcast live on SuperSport 1, M-Net & SH2 on TV in SA.
The Sharks were full value for their money, scoring a bonus point win over a Blue Bulls side who had a lot of possession but who was also very blunt on attack.

Willie Wepener is a good hooker… maybe quite a bit better than the forelorn Gary
Neewat, like you say, the Bulls have given up… Brummer kicking it away every chance he gets
8 min left…
Come on Bulls get a try to make my Bru smile a bit
Penalty Sharks, very, very kickable… Freddy going for goal
Sharks 35 / 16
Marnitz Boshoff on for Brummer… about bloody time
19 points….. eishhhhhhh
Time almost up… Sharks scrum
Final Score: The Sharks 35 / 16 Blue Bulls
Well, my Bru pick was only 11 for the Sharks… they won by a mighty 19.
Congrats Sharkies, well deserved!
So much work left for Pine Pienaar at the Blue Bulls!
Bulls need an enforcer lock, Fudge & Juandre are both No 5 type locks… and a bit light in the pants.
Somehow also the Bulls backline attack is blunt to the extreme and to my mind it lies in 2 things primarily… a fumbling scrummie who cannot pass and a flyhalf who cannot dictate or distribute. Would like to see Ruan Snyman on scrummie (with Lohan Jacobs on the bench) and Marnitz Boshoff at flyhalf from hereon in… and give Small-Smith & Francois Venter some chances at center.
So, the Cheetahs lead the Log with the Sharks, then the Lions, then the Griquas & WP, then the Pumas, Bulls and lastly the Leopards…
Ja Gbs, lotsa work ahead for the Bulla but equally the WP. Thanks for the commentary.
See you next week and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
