Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske named a strong team filled with Super Rugby players for their opening Currie Cup clash against the Leopards in Bloemfontein on Saturday.

Lock Waltie Vermeulen has recovered in time from a shoulder injury sustained in Super Rugby to make it into the starting XV and Springbok centre Andries Strauss was also back to full fitness to captain the side.
