Reds prop James Slipper has been ruled out of the Reds Super Rugby Semi-final on the 2nd of July but could make the final if the Reds progress.
Slipper received some positive news following an arthroscopy on his ankle earlier this morning although will still miss the Reds’ Super Rugby Semi-Final on Saturday 2 July at Suncorp Stadium.
The results of the arthroscopy were a best case scenario for Slipper considering the circumstances surrounding the injury he sustained against the Chiefs at the weekend and won’t be required to undergo any further surgery.
The successful arthroscopy confirmed initial scans of syndesmosis although fears of a prolonged period on the sideline have been alleviated.
A worst case scenario for Slipper would have seen him ruled out of the entire finals series and potentially the early stages of the Wallabies campaign.
