The Sharks have named their team to face the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein with new signing Frederic Michalak being named on the bench.
The Sharks have been boosted by the return from injury of Ryan Kankowski and Adrian Jacobs.
This week’s changes come as a result of injuries, suspension and player rotation with most of the changes coming in the forwards.
Gerhard Mostert and Alistair Hargreaves swop positions at lock with Mostert getting his second start of the campaign and Hargreaves getting a break after having started 10 of his 11 games this season.
The loss of Jean Deysel and the return of Ryan Kankowski from injury sees the eighthman back in position with Keegan Daniel and Willem Alberts completing the loose-forward trio, the latter having played off the bench last week; Jacques Botes this week will come on as a reserve.
Amongst the backs, as expected, Charl McLeod replaces the injured Conrad Hoffmann at scrumhalf in the only change there.
The big news, of course, is the naming of Frederic Michalak on the bench after the surprise announcement earlier this week that he was joining the Sharks once more after helping them to lift the Currie Cup back in 2008.
Although used as a flyhalf during that stint, he will play back-up as scrumhalf with the option of having him available to cover at 10 should the need arise during his second stay here in Durban.
The final change sees Adrian Jacobs in for Riaan Swanepoel after passing a fitness test.

VRY STAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!
Happy GBS?
Oh 2 more show ponies in this side.
As a Nataller, I agree the Sharks have the babes, but they are also the most stuck up chicks in South Africa….Bloemfontein and Pretoria girls are much friendlier. In Durban of course if you are a lifeguard or have money then the sky’s the limit.
Watch Michalak replace someone at centre….I’m happy to put a beer on it.
Ruan had a good game for the Barbarians last week and they gave England a carrot, most enjoyable.
Jaaaaaaaaa Rudi broer , mooi was nog nooit lelik nie
