Baby Bokkies (21) 33 / Scotties (0) 0 (Final Score)
South Africa took on Scotland in their first clash of 2011 in the Junior World Championships at the Stadio del Plebiscito, Padova, Italy at 20:00 SA Time. This was the match thread for discussion of the game. The match was broadcast live on SuperSport 1 & CSN on TV in SA.
There was always only going to be one winner, but errors hampered the Baby Bokkies and many chances went a-begging. They still scored their 4 tries though and kept the sheet against them blemish free.
Scorers:
Bokkies: 3 Penalties & 2 Conversions Johan Goosen, 2 Tries Francois Venter, 2 Tries Arno Botha
Scotties: No score yet

Almost a Bokkie try… knocked

Howzit, ja ok baas 🙂 Not able to watch but will be interested to hear what your think about Scotland no. 10 Duncan Weir, he plays for Glasgow in Ruaridh Jacksons (who has played a few 6 nations games for Scotland this year) shadow but I rate his kicking game and ability to take on defenders higher than Ruaridh’s although maybe his distribution skills not as silkly. Guess it may be tough to make a call if his pack is getting drilled like you guys are saying.
