Reds (7) 17 / Crusaders (10) 16 (Final Score)
The Reds hosted the Crusaders at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane at 08:10 SA Time, Sunday morning. This was the match thread for discussion of the game. The match was broadcast live on SuperSport 1, SHD & M-Net on TV in SA.
The Reds flyhalf, Quade Cooper, slotted a penalty in the 80th minute to secure a 1-point lead and eventual win. It was a hard and brutal match but the relatively low scores both sides just do not do justice to the open and flowing game presented by these tow sides on the day.
Scorers:
Reds: 2 Conversions & 1 Penalty Quade Cooper, 1 Try Ben Tapuai, 1 Try Will Genia
Crusaders: 3 Penalties & 1 Conversion Dan Carter, 1 Try Brent Ward

Saders 10 / 7
Genia almost over
Genia nearly over , scrum Reds 5 meter out
Penalty Reds…. this one will go to goal
This is not a day you should have left your kicking boots at home
Surfer Dude misses another easy one… eish
Another Reds penalty… Saders get a Team warning
McCaw must get a yellow soon, team warning out
They go for touch… and lose the lineout
The reds lineout is not up to scratch, the Bulls last night destroyed the Cheetah lineouts
Almost a Saders try…
TMO
No try
No control, no try
Relieving penalty for the Reds
… and anothr Reds penalty, this one longish but kickable
If Cooper can kick this penalty they will go into half time 10 all
Hooter has gone…
Surfer Dude misses to the right
Lemoenetyd
9 points wasted by Cooper
Ciao a tutti! Best game of the weekend. The two best sides we’ve seen so far – really classy teams. Coops not having his kicking boots will give the Saders the advantage…
2nd Half ON!
Maybe my Blue tinted glasses are still on but this game is full of bad handling errors by the Reds.@ The_Young_Turk:
Just an observation, but theses kiwi and ozzie teams are introducing the flat pass, which often verges on a forward pass, to the game. The game is so fast that it’s impossible for the ref to pick up and they get the benefit of the doubt. Will need to involve TMO or else rugby goes to shit.

You said it, your blue tinted glasses are permanently glued to your eyeballs, bru 🙂

It’s a good try, nothing wrong there… awarded
@ The_Young_Turk:
i agree, anti TMO people will disagree but you want the fairest possible result, the team that win must deserve it

Haai ou ek sien darem bleddie baie goed raak wat ander sleg mis, daai is prescription Blou Brille.
I was sitting behind the Northern posts llast night, one does not get the same perfect view from there about the play as sitting betwen the 22m line and the 10m line.
It was great rugby last night, but thisone matches that… will watch the PVR recording of last night’s game later, can then only make a fair comparison.
@ grootblousmile:
