Magtie Dankie Lions , dit gee ons sommer n ekstra lifeline, nou is ons definitief terug, moet net eenvoudig bly wen.

NOW it is important for the Bulls to win this afternoon…. and the Sharks to get a win without a bonus point and not giving the Waratahs a bonus point at all

  • 102

I am gobb-smacked by the result

  • 103

Good morning all, better late than never, what a nice surprise to see the Lions winning good on them.

    @ grootblousmile:
As it looks now, it’s possible if they both win, for Bulls and Sharks to finish 5 and 6. Don’t see one of them being able to get 4. looks like the top 4 will be Reds, Stormers, Crusaders, Blues though not necessarily in that order.

    super @ 100
    stem saam

jeez, how the competition have changed over the last 2, 3 weeks … and not just the competition, but i think also the mindset of everyone regarding the sa teams and certain “old” players .. theres no more talk of guys past their sellby dates … just think, about 3 weeks ago that was the one thing thats been discussed constantly!! 😯

Let’s mosey on over to the Stormers thread

  • 114

This Lions win has just possibly dropped the amount of Combined Log points needed to finish 6th by 1 or 2 Log points….

    101@ grootblousmile:
Yip GBS will be great to win this afternoon but Bulls bonus point victory will be even better. Just had a look at the table and seen that we have not got many bonus points this year only 4 while the Cheetahs have 10. I said before the Super 15 started that there are a lot of bonus points on offer so we should have got a whole lot more. The Cheetahs are only 6 points behind us and they haven’t got their last 4 points for the bye yet and we have won 2 more games than them so it just shows how valuable these bonus points are.

Despite carrying a 16-9 lead into the second half, the Highlanders were made to pay for their listless performance in a scrappy and occasionally spiteful contest.

Tensions boiled over with the score level 19-19 in the 59th minute after Lions flanker Michael Rhodes pulled winger Siale Piutau out of a ruck on the Lions’ try-line using a headlock.

Incensed, Piutau retaliated by striking Rhodes in the head and players from both sides charged in swinging in a messy exchange sure to attract the attentions of the disciplinary review panel.
