Sharks have confirmed the Signing of mercurial french star Freddy Michalak Who is already in Durban and available for selection with immediate effect.
What is interesting is where Michalak will play as he does cover 3 positions and has done so internationally, will it be 9 where the Sharks have issues right now? or will it be 10? where one cannot see Patrick Lambie being ousted? as he has been a star for the Sharks, or will he cover at 12 for a very out of sorts Meyer Bosman? one tends to think the latter as indications out of Durban are the recall of Puma Scrumhalf ( on loan from the Sharks ) Tiaan Meyer.
Meyer knows the Sharks structures very well and should easily fit in as needed, he will surely fill that void left with the injury to Conrad Hoffman. Other assumptions are of course that Plumtree believes Lambie will spend most of the Currie Cup season in the Springbok camp.
Other news from Durban is the return of star loose forward Ryan Kankowski, that comes as excellent news as the Sharks loose another loose forward in Jean Deysel who has been banned for 2 weeks after a dangerous tackle in the match against the Waratahs, and then in Durban for the first time is center Marius Joubert although it is not yet known if he is available for selection as of now or only for the Currie Cup.
one is going to get a lot of pro’s and con’s with the return of Michalak from bloggers etc , but right now he might just be what the sharks need to regain some flair in the backline
Hello everyone, from beautiful Loch Lomond.
Well frankly I think this is a awesome move by Sharks. Freddie is pure class. I feel really pleased about this. Freddie can fill in at inside centre and scrumhalf. Great fh as well, but that is Lambies position now.
Howzit Puma good man hope you’re enjoying yourself how long are you this side?

What has happened to Mcleod? Reading we might get the Puma’s scrummie for the rest of the S15 to help us out.

I met a superb Afrikaans family that run a really nice (small) hotel up the road from Loch Lomond. They have been living here for 7 years and love it.
mcleod just had a bad run of form, but was better last weekend, yes tiaan meyer is a natal boy on loan to the puma’s, good scrummy and will replace the injured hoffman i think
@ Puma:
Cheers Sharky and BullScot. Good to catch up again.
Will probably only catch up again once back in SA.
@ sharky_forever:18 – Thanks brudda. Thought maybe McLeod was injured or something, cause of us getting the Puma’s scrummie. Feel for Hoffman getting injured. Was hoping to see him play when I got back.
Anyhow will catch up again if I can sometime this week or when I get back home to SA. Really hectic here when I am in Scotland………..hahaha. Party too much here………..hehehe.
Cheers Brudda.
I still don’t know how we could let Hoffman go….
Puma…if you’re in London give me a call 07919913739
Michalak was sublime in the final they played in a week ago…wasn’t Heineken Cup, it was the other one in France.
A Rugby Joke:
Two 90 year old Welshmen, Dai and Emrys, have been friends all of their lives.
When it’s clear that Emrys is dying, Dai visits him every day. One day Dai says, ‘Emrys, we both loved rugby all our lives, and we played rugby on Saturdays together for so many years. Please do me one favour, when you get to Heaven, somehow you must let me know if there’s rugby there.’
Emrys looks up at Dai from his death bed,’ Dai, you’ve been my best friend for many years. If it’s at all possible, I’ll do this favour for you.
Shortly after that, Emrys passes on. At midnight a couple of nights later, Dai is awakened from a sound sleep by a blinding flash of white light and a voice calling out to him, ‘Dai–Dai.’
‘Who is it? Asks Dai sitting up suddenly. ‘Who is it?’
‘Dai–it’s me, Emrys.’
‘You’re not Emrys. Emrys just died.’
‘I’m telling you, it’s me, Emrys,’ insists the voice.’
‘Emrys! Where are you?’
‘In heaven’, replies Emrys. ‘I have some really good news and a little bad news.’
‘Tell me the good news first,’ says Dai.
The good news,’ Emrys says,’ is that there’s rugby in heaven. Better yet, all of our old friends who died before us are here, too. Better than that, we’re all young again.
Better still, it’s always spring time and it never rains or snows. And best of all, we can play rugby all we want, and we never get tired.’
‘That’s fantastic,’ says Dai. ‘It’s beyond my wildest dreams! So what’s the bad news?’
‘You’re in the team for Tuesday.’
Wat klink so: “Oom, gooi hierdie kant toe …… nee, ander kant Oupa ….. stadig Oupa, nie so vinnig nie, ons ander oom’s kan nie lekker byhou nie ! ….. o, gits, daar onderskep iets die bal,!?@#$$ ” ?
….. ‘n Sharks agterlyn beweging in Durban …. teen die duiksakke.
😀
