Sharks flank Jean Deysel has been suspended for two weeks after being found guilty of foul play by a SANZAR Judicial Hearing held in Durban on Tuesday.

Deysel was cited for a dangerous tackle on Waratahs centre Tom Carter during a Super Rugby match last Saturday. He received a yellow card for the offence.

SANZAR Judicial Officer Peter Ingwersen SC found Deysel guilty of contravening Foul Play Law 10.4 (e) for dangerous tackling of an opponent without the ball.

The Judicial Officer concluded that this was a lower end offence and ruled that Deysel receive the minimum sanction of two weeks.

silly play by Deysel, totally out of caracter, and cant complain about the 2 week ban

However i have argued with many and still believe the 6 week ban on Rhodes was very harsh

Typical dirty Sharks player. I just hope that they don’t injure to many of the Cheetahs player with their foul play this weekend.

    Sharky

You may think it is harsh. I suppose you may have seen worse.
Where i am we see punchs and probably rate that quite harsh and thus needs to be dealt with accordingly. But if you see more harsh stuff amogst your country folk then I understand…we are not used to rugby being played at level where violence is included in the game.
