The Waratahs have come out on top in this fixture for the last two years and they will be keen to add to that sequence here today and reward their home fans who suffered through a loss to the Cheetahs the last time they played at home
This should be an exciting battle between two very quick backlines here today and hopfully they will put on an exhibition of open, running rugby.
Game ON!
TRY Waratahs
5 Conversion – Beale converts.
4 Try – The scrumball is taken to the short side and a gap opens for Afa Pakalani, The winger is over for the opening try.
That was quick !!!
Waratahs 7 – 3 Chiefs
First Half
7 Masaga fields Mitchell’s clearance and runs it back. The Chiefs retain possession well and look to make some ground through their forwards. Sweeney gets over the 22 with advantage. Some good interlinking play from the halfbacks and they are close but Leonard can’t hold on and they will come back for the penalty. Delaney slots the PENALTY and the Chiefs are on the board.
Morning everyone.
Go Tahs.
9 Turner makes good ground for the Waratahs as they get on the front foot once more. Mumm crashes it up on the 22 and they get quick ball. Burgess has a go but the Chiefs defence is up to it and Palu loses the ball forward in contact.
11 Nathan White drops his bind as the Waratahs continue to dominate at scrum-time. Beale has no problems knocking the PENALTY over from close range to restore the seven point advantage.
Damn, have a client here…
Waratahs 10 / 3
13 Craig Clarke loses the ball forward from the kick-off and the Waratahs have a scrum. It is well contested by the Chiefs but the Waratahs get it away and their backline has a run. Liam Messam makes a big tackle and the ball is lost. Can the Chiefs keep their own scrum ball?
10-6
15 No worries this time as the Chiefs crash over halfway. Ross makes good ground and they send it to the right but Masaga can’t hold on. The Waratahs were offside on defence and Delany will have another shot at goal. The PENALTY is over and the gap is down to four.
17 Beale goes deep from the restart and the Chiefs put it high and chase hard but Beale is steady underneath it. The Waratahs go forward at pace and Burgess finds some space but the ball is lost forward in the tackle and the Chiefs will have a defensive scrum.
19 The Chiefs scrum is under pressure again but they get it away and Delany clears. The Waratahs are under pressure and Beale holds on to it on the ground but Delany kicks the penalty dead and that is an opportunity missed.

21 Beale finds Mitchell running a good angle on his inside shoulder and he goes off diagonally across field. He gets it to Pakalani close to the right touchline in the 22 and he is tackled high so the Waratahs set up the line-out and drive it towards the line. The Chiefs collapse the maul.
Waratahs 10 / 6

23 The Waratahs choose the scrum and they will want to make it count. They have had all the meaningful possession and territory so far. The Chiefs drop their bind again and the Waratahs choose to scrum again.
Client seen off now, helped and sorted, so hopefully I can concentrate here now.
Chiefs get a yellow, Nathan White
Hallo daar blou masjien vriende!!
Penalty try to the Waratahs
25 It collapses and will reset after the ref has a chat with the hookers. It goes down again and that is a YELLOW CARD for Nathan White. Big surprise, the Waratahs choose another scrum.

Hellooooooooooooo, Pampierperd!
@ grootblousmile:
That penalty try was unnecessary in my eyes , that is a natural collapse not done deliberately by the Chiefs
