The Hurricanes hosted the Bulls at McLean Park, Napier at 08:35 SA Time. This was the match thread for discussion of the game. The match was broadcast live on SuperSport 1, SHD & M-Net on TV in SA.

The Bulls started well with the wind and the early penalties as well as 2 Morné Steyn drop goals set up a good early lead. After that the canes were always playing catch-up rugby and eventually the Bulls ground out a 12-point win, in New Zealand.

    @ fender:146 – Well I am at home right now so can’t tell. But later there will be plenty Sharks flags flying out of cars.

    Overcast as I said it would be. Rain forecast for later and it is humid.

    Ja, the weather could play a role, hey Puma? But I mean the fans must be confident of a home win. After all, when last did a side from the Cape win at the tank?

    @ fender:153 – Well not that confident. Stormers are playing great rugby. Also think our team gonna be really tired mate from all the travel. Remember Sharks played on Sunday and 3 hours later they were on a flight home. Hectic. So hope we can but think Stormers could win this.

    Well Done Bulle, it’s a good win abroad…. The SA teams are beginning to win overseas, even the Cheetahs have joined the fray…. Now we need a Lions victory for sure!!

    And later we will see if the Stormers are the real deal!!
