21 The Cheetahs secure the line-out and drive it forwards towards the 22 but Louw is tackled into touch. The Cheetahs steal the line-out and have a good attacking opportunity here. They are making some good offloads in the 22 with Johnson doing well. The Highlanders fail to release in the tackle and it is taken quickly by Pretorius. He is brought down but the Highlnaders have no structure and WP Nel picks it up to crash over for the TRY under the poles. Ebersohn kicks the CONVERSION.

Calviniaaaaaaaaa! Karoo-skaap-krag daai….
Lander gooi n drie weg , knock on
60@ Pietman:
23 The Highlanders secure the kick-off and look to carry it out of their half. Slade gets a good pop pass from Smith and hares upfield. He gets the pass away and the ball goes down the hands with Mackintosh doing well in the backline before the ball is knocked on on the wing.
@ superBul:
65@ grootblousmile:
Amazing how we don’t expect our children to act as we did hey?
Can’t wrap them up in cotton wool.
@ grootblousmile:
dit is nie n vraag of hy gaan nie , eerder waneer. 😀
25 The scrum is reset twice before Raubenheimer takes it off the back and makes good ground. They get it back to Ebersohn who kicks long and the Highlanders can run it back at them. Cowan kicks over the top and it is a good one as Pretorius is forced to carry it into touch on the 22.
Try Landers
67@ Pietman:
Try Kenny Lynn for the Landers, under the sticks
Landers 17 / 7
27 The Highlanders win the line-out and run a set move in the backline with Lynn straightening off Slade and hitting a gap to go over for the first phase TRY, basic stuff. The CONVERSION is a formality.
28 The Cheethas win the ball back but it is lost forward and the Highlanders will have their first scrum
68@ Scrumdown:
Yip… we can’t… but I can threaten with the butter knife…. hehehe
29 They get it away quickly and it is cleared but the ball was taken back into the 22 and the Cheetahs will have a chance to attack.
@ grootblousmile:
76@ grootblousmile:
Like my Father did? Didn’t help much.
Still a wild child. 48, nearly 19.
@ grootblousmile:
31 They go to the backline but they are on the back foot after a loose pass and some positive defence from the Highlanders. Oosthuizen is eventually tackled into touch by Mackintosh and the Highlanders have it back.
32 They secure it and the Cheetahs go off their feet so Slade will clear it into touch
33 Cowan carries it up and the Cheetahs are up quickly but the ball is knocked on by a defender in the tackle and the Highlnaders will have the scrum.
78@ Pietman:
So paar jaar voor Tiaan en Kruppelbroer op Grey was daar ‘n Agsteman, JP Geldenhuys, my kleinneef (en Burger se eie neef), wat vir Maties gespeel het en vir WP uitgedraf het op Nr 8, onthou jy hom?
Try Robert Ebberson
80@ superBul:
Tryyyyyyyyyyyyyy Robert Ebersohn!
What a fade on that conversion but it is over
Landers 17 / 14
36 The Cheetahs engage early and it is taken quickly but the ball is knocked on in the tackle and the Cheetahs have turned it over so they run it up. Floors finds space on the right and tries a grubber but it bounces off a defender and the Highlanders have it back. Slade gets caught by a double team tackle and the Cheetahs pounce with good numbers on the counter. R. Ebersohn hits it at pace in the 22 and he has enough momentum to get over for the TRY and his brother adds the CONVERSION.
