Tuks were the surprise package last week, really bullying Maties at the collisions and with an overall hunger which was superior to that of the Maties.
The question is, can they kick on from here and duplicate this type of performance?
Is it possible that a bit of Heyneke Meyer’s influence is starting to rub off on Tuks as he is invloved in an assisting role in the coaching at Tuks now?
Gooooooooooooooo Tuks!!
Tuks may have been something of a surprise last week, but I think that generally UJ are at last starting to live up to the reputation that they carry around in JHB.
For too long they’ve actually played second fiddle to PUKKE, (who also play in the GLRU Club competition) but it seems as if PUKKE really lost the plot when Matthew Proudfoot went down to Cape Town.
Anyway, Orange all the way tonight.
I’m off to do a bit of woodwork before the Varsity Cup games start… see you in an hour
Rom, rom, rom!!!
GO MATIES!!!!
It may be a bit behind the times, but it was good to read that Tuks beat Maties last week. Heres hoping another win follows tonight, Yeah Tuks!
OK, shuffle up… Anthem is being sung
Game On!!
What does your picks look like for the Varsity Cup this week?
5@ Bullscot:
Hello friend… yeah Tuks!
By the way, what did you study at Tuks?
I see Hiton Lobberts is playing for UCT…. quite a fall from grace for him in the last few years
Penalty UCT and Catrakilis slots it from Halfway
UCT 3 / 0
Another penalty for UCT, near their own 10m line… they kick for touch
Ikeys with the enterprising play at the start of this game
Tryyyyyyyyyyy Andries Coetzee for Tuks
Converted from the touchline by Wesley Dunlop, Tuks captain.
Tuks 7 / 3
Penalty UCT as Tuks hooker goes in from the side of a ruck… deep in UCT half
Skew throw by UCT into a lineout, Tuks scrum on halfway
yes loooooooserrrrs!!!! 🙂
Tuks not letting go in the tackle… penalty UCT in a very kickable position
Catrakilis misses to the right, quite a let-off

Hello
Tuks forwards very good in the lineouts.. and seem to be dominating to an extent… but also giving away too many penalties in the process
