Force (9) 12 / Sharks (19) 39 (Final Score)
The Western Force hosted the Sharks at NIB Stadium, Perth at 13:05 SA Time. This was the match thread for discussion of the game. The match was broadcast live on SuperSport 1, SHD & M-Net on TV in SA.
The Sharks won well and convincingly but the attrition rate was also high with Odwa Ndungane spear-tackled and taken to hospital. Also looked like Willem Alberts was carrying an injury.
Bonus point in the bag for the Sharks on a very important away win.

Force slaps it down…. this MUST be a Yellow… just a scrum, oi!
69 The Sharks go for the lineout and want the try. Only metres away from the try. The force steal it and run it but are called back for a knock on by the force!
Try Willem Alberts…. bonus point
Sharks 29 / 12
Bonus point try from Willem Alberts. Sharks tryline not crossed yet. Great start for the Sharks again. Can THEY use this start better than they did in previous years?
Odwa has been taken to hospital…
I see John Smit is on and I also see that Willem Alberts is off
Burden is also on
Penalty Force deep in Sharks 22, they tap…
Sharks turns the ball over and starts to run
John Smit looks patently unfit and slow
75 Force now in the Sharks 22 and moving forward and win advantage for a penalty as the Sharks come offside! The force go wide and the Sharks intercept but are called Back! The Sharks now have it and make a run and win a penalty for not releasing!
Penalty Sharks and Lambie goes for posts, it’s over
Sharks 32 / 12
Lambie is now the front runner to be Morne Steyns deputy, must say this , i like what i see from him.
Late tackle by Force on Ludik, Cummins cops a yellow
Lambie is doing it today, i wont mind having him in my team.
Try Lambie and converted
Sharks 39 / 12
Sharks win 39 / 12
Great demolition job by the Sharks, this is a good BIG win.
OK, I have to do the last 2 Super Rugby Game Threads and then get ready to leave for Loftus.
eishhhhhhhhhhhhhh what a game , thanks for the support rudi and oom super 😆
rudi i am sure you agree this is why we talk so much about lambie
now lets hope the bulls klap the landers 6-0 6-0 6-0 lol ,i think i have you guys to win by 15
shit o hope odwa is ok , JPP is out for a long time me thinks
this is not what the sharks needed
@ sharky_forever:
agree that is a lot off quality players that got hurt today. i never wish this to a team, and i hope there is no more injuries for the other teams this afternoon.
i leave this happy thread and move over to the war between the colony and the boere republiek.
see you at the Stormers vs Cheetah thread.
Well done Sharks. But think that win might have come with a price. They showed that tackle on Odwa a few times at the club, he went down with his neck right back. Damn that could be a really serious injury. REALLY felt for him as Odwa has been one of our best wings. Then JPP going off and Alberts. Really hope we don’t have them all out injured. Hope no serious injury to any of these players, but have my doubts.
Go Sharks. Well done. Lambie is proving to be a real gem. Good for South African Rugby.
Well done Sharks for not allowing a try to the oppostion.
We march on with defending our try line.
Next week another story, if we have injuries. Really worried about some of our players.
Anyhow well done to my team.
