    19/2 looking good, hello Puma

  • 32

    25/2 after 5 overs.

    @ Bullscot:31 – Howzit Bullscot.

Sorry Scotland never beat England. Never saw the game but it sure was close.

  • 33

@ Bullscot:32 – Bullscot, gonna say howzit again here. Cause it don’t show on the recent comments if I don’t reply first to your post…lol.

    @ Puma:
Cheers man yes was a pity, the game was close although England seemed to have a lot more possesion as the game went on but Scotland defence was really good, just came down to 10 points England got when Barclay was in the sin bin, the painful thing was they got a converted try in the last minute that he was off the field.
Do you think Ireland can pull of another surprise today? Is Tsotsobe injure still, cause would have thought he should have played today if fit, maybe given Steyn or Morkel a rest?

  • 35

@ Bullscot:34 – Yeah, would have loved to have seen Scotland beat England. Pity.

Thought Lopsey (Tsotsobe’s nic name) was gonna play today. To get some game time if they need him later on. He was bowling really well against India when they were here. He might get a game against Bangladesh.

No don’t think Ireland will beat us now after we got those early two wickets.

  • 36

@ Puma: 35; see another wicket down, should soon be time for our spinners to come on, interesting to see how they go.

  • 37

@ Bullscot:36 – Bullscot, just been working a bit. So never saw that wicket go.

    We should win this one.

  • 38

Okay just checked the cricket now.

52/4 after 12 overs. We should win this one easy.

Then England were in a good position to win it and Ireland won that game. So have to wait and see.

  • 39

@ Puma: 37 Yip have to agree there Puma, see Botha came on and took a wicket quickly. The run rate is still below 6 an over for them to get and o’Brian is in again but I can’t see him pulling off another performance like against England. Outta here now cheers man.

I am out of here now as well.

We should win this one easy. 67/4

Ireland have been blown away, and South Africa complete a 131-run win in Kolkata. The Irish fought really hard in the field, keeping South Africa pegged back with wickets, but they couldn’t keep it up with the bat. They managed to keep up with the asking rate, but at the expense of wickets, which fell at regular intervals. If you missed any of today’s play, we have the perfect remedy: Nitin Sundar’s match bulletin.

William Porterfield “We started off pretty well, got wickets up front and pegged them back. We were happy enough at half time chasing 270 but just lost wickets. We’ve been pretty good with our ground fielding throughout the tournament but we missed a couple of catches. We’ve shown competitive spirit, in a lot of the games we kept ourselves in the game. We’ve got a lot of positives from this tournament.”
Graeme Smith: “I think you can always nitpick, but there were some good signs today. We put ourselves under pressure with some stupid run outs but the guys responded really well after that, especially JP [Duminy] who batted really well under pressure. He really held things together, and then Colin Ingram, who hasn’t played for a while, came in and batted well. We’ve done the first part of his now.”
No surprises, JP Duminy is the Man of the Match: “The circumstances were a bit tense [when I came in], the key was to try and stay as calm as possible. I’ve done it a fair number of times now, and I’ve grown into this role nicely, and I hope it continues. I was trying to hit the ball out of the ground at the end, you never know when a few runs might make all the difference in the game.”

Aoife Nolan: “I am still an Irish Blonde and I still support the redheads!!!”
shuvo_Kalmar: “@Aoife Nolan, i am in the same folk with you. See you redheads next WC hopefully with some more excitment.” I’ll second that.

Kannan: “Good catch from van Wyk – now he can celebrate it with a haircut.. must be brutal with the heat over there – geez.”
    33.2

Morkel to Dockrell, OUT, superb catch from van Wyk! Morkel slammed one down much shorter, it leapt up at young Dockrell and took the edge of the shoulder of the bat, the keeper tumbled to his right to complete the dismissal and that’s the end of Ireland
    GH Dockrell c †van Wyk b Morkel 16 (19m 12b 3×4 0x6) SR: 133.33
    33.1

Morkel to Dockrell, FOUR, cracked over cover! Is there anything George Dockrell can’t do?
Smith goes for the kill and brings back Morkel

Hmm, you cant even just get it right anymore on superbru…a number of ou’s have overtaken me now, because of their score predictions….this is not good. I thought Ireland would have put up a better fight though, so my prediction of SA by 50 runs was way out!!
