Waratahs (16) 30 / Reds (6) 6  (Final Score)

The Waratahs hosted the Reds at ANZ Stadium, Sydney at 10:40 SA Time (19:40 AEDT). This was the match thread for discussion of the game. The match was broadcat live on SuperSport 1 & M-Net.

The Waratahs eased past the Reds for a bonus point win and 10 Log Points from 2 games. The Reds were woeful, with a plethera of handling mistakes and wrong options marring their game.

It certainly looks like the Waratahs are the Australian team to watch this season.

Try Ben Robinson… bonus point Tahs.

They will have 10 Log Points from 2 games….

  • 68

    Afternoon everyone.

This looks easy for Tahs. Reds just don’t seem the same team they were last year.

  • 69

Hello OldG, How you doing mate? Hope well.

Your Tahs doing well in the S15 so far.

    Hallo almal.

Lyk my die blou spanne gaan dit vier in ‘n ry maak die naweek.

Hoop net nie die Blues maak dit vyf in ‘n ry nie !

  • 72

    Terrible by the Reds….

  • 73

@ grootblousmile:70 – Are you more relaxed today?…hehehehe. Jeepers that was close for Bulls last night. But a win is a win. I hope Sharks win even by one point will be fine by me. Must win our games, at this stage, more important than getting bonus points. They might come later.

    Tahs doing the business here.

    71@ bdb:
Miskien moes ek die Blues gepick het op Bru…. hahaha

  • 75

More King Pie, gaan jou span wen teen die Leeus ?

  • 76

    @ bdb:
    Jip!!

  • 77

    73@ Puma:
Yip, totally relaxed… sitting here in Boxer Shorts, my Goooi Mieliesss (blue) Golf Shirt… barefoot…

  • 78

@ bdb:71 – How you count bdb?…hehehe. This will be Bulls 3rd game, so dit sal drie wees ne?

  • 79

@ grootblousmile:77 – Me too totally relaxed for now. But not later, nervous for our game against Blues. This is a superb Blues side.

Brilliant day here, not that humid, but humidity gets worse as the day goes on, probably very humid by 5pm.

    Hooter goes…

    Game Over

    Tahs win comprehensively and handsomely

  • 82

    @ grootblousmile:74 – If you did then I know we would win…..hehehehehehe.

KingPaul, I have Leeus on my bru by 3. Taking a gamble there cause if I get it right, just may climb up a bit. Sitting so low down.

Now with Tahs thrashing Reds, my margin is way, way out here as well.

78: Puma, I am thinking of the teams that won so far this weekend: Landers, Rebels, Bulls and Tahs, all having blue jerseys, i.e. 4 in a row.

Watch out for the Blues, the name says it all ! 😉

  • 84

@ bdb:83 – Okay…hehe. Just maybe the team with the black and white win today… 😉

  • 85

Puma @ 69 hey, my long lost mate! Good to hear from you. Tahs looking good so far, certainly the leading Aus franchise, although I thought the match was a bit ragged and loose. This result shows the benefit of having a strong bench, the reserves came on and kept the pressure on when it really mattered.

  • 86

@ grootblousmile:80 – So will any Aussie team beat the Tahs? Don’t look like it. Brumbies might have had a off day yesterday. They may. Otherwise Tahs are a sure bet to top their conference.

  • 87

Sharks miss playing Reds and Landers. How did we get so unlucky? hehehe.

  • 88

I personally don’t like this new format at all. Now if we have to keep it, then we HAVE to play all teams and not miss some. That is a flaw in this format.

  • 89

@ Old Griquas 14 in Sydney:85 – OldG, Good to see you here mate. I hardly watched the game. Was watching the cricket between the Tahs game. Tahs look like they will top your conference. Not sure who will beat them. Thought Reds would have given them a better game.

How was the Stadium in Melbourne yesterday? Jeepers those supporters were brilliant. Really enjoyed seeing them supporting their team. Good to see a full house stadium, well it was almost. Never thought Rebels would win, just shows we never know in this game.
