Cheetahs (11) 23 / Bulls (8) 25 (Final Score)
The Toyota Cheetahs hosted the Vodacom Bulls at Free State Stadium, Bloemfontein at 19:10 SA Time. This was the match thread for discussion of the game. The match was broadcast live on SuperSport 1 and CSN on TV in SA.
Once again a game of two halves for the Bulls, this time extremely lacklustre in the first half and on fire after the break, when they decided to keep more possession.
It was hard, it was brutal, it was close… it was a derby!

@ rugbybal:178 – Bulls started like a race horse last year.
Not sure what is going on here, but they will get better. Derby games are the toughest games.
@ superBul:
Hy is ma kakkerig
Commiserations Cheetahs, you have a good side.
Lots of injuries for the Cheetahs… that is a worry for them, as it stands their depth is questionable, maybe now more so.
I thought Kabamba and Ashley Johnson had sterling games… so too Ryno Benjamin.
@ smallies72:181 – Smallies, agree. The game changed when Strauss went off. He was huge in the tackle. Also Johnson gifted Danie that try.
Well done to your team though, without Juan and Brussow that was a damn good game.
@ smallies72:
@ smallies72:

To all the Cheetah supporters here, with Juan and Brussow back your team will be even better. Cheetahs gave Bulls a real tough game tonight.
But well done Bulls for grinding it out.
Now out of here. Catch up tomorrow.
GOOOOOOOOO SHARKSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
@ Puma:
Only last year though, before that it was always a slow start. Like I said its a long comp. It’s all about who is going to peak at the right time, and manage their players, and who has the most dept. I just feel like the Cheetahs and Lions are going in guns blazing and playing with the intensity like its a final. They won’t be able to keep this up until the end. They will fade. Hoor my lied 🙂
Soos Vic sê: eerder ‘n ugly win as ‘n pretty loss.
Morné Steyn’s handling was poor today….
This was once again too close for comfort
@ rugbybal:
Daar praat jy nou, give that man a Bells
3-0 vir die blou spanne vandag.
I was so nervous, I hardly sipped my Muscadel….
Now I will have to make up for it!
@ superBul:
@ rugbybal:192 – Jy is reg, Sharks too starting slow….hahaha. Hope we win tomorrow. We have a bigger battle than your Bulls had tonight. We playing Blues. They are a class team. Nervous for my Sharks tomorrow. Just keeping fingers crossed.
Well at least I get one win on bru today, but my margin was way out. Had Bulls by 14.
Okay now out of here. Catch up tomorrow.
Go have a few drinks Super, your heart must have been racing in that game.
Cheers all.
195: hoor hoor
@ Puma:
Cheers Puma, I think the Sharks should bag the win. The travel factor should give the Sharks the edge.
@ grootblousmile:197 – HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Get the valium out for next week…….hahahahaha.
Bulls got the win now just have a few drinks.
Cheers catch up tomorrow.
198@ smallies72:

@ bdb:
Ek like hoe jy dink
bad luck cheetahs , congrats bulls , good come back ,
Cheers
Sharks speel more teen ‘n blou span, hulle sal op hul beste moet wees.
