In exactly 1 week from this morning, the Super Rugby Competition of 2011 kicks off.

The 15 Teams have one week left to correct the last mistakes, get some injured players fit and get themselves battle ready for this monsterous Competition and us, as spectators and supporters, have one week to soak up Team announcements and to make bold and / or foolish predictions.

Tick Tock….

another nz go down with injury
    ..
The injury suffered by All Black World Cup hopeful Luke McAlister overshadowed the quality of the Super Rugby pre-season game, in which the Blues and Chiefs played to a 12-all draw at the Bayer Growers Stadium in Pukekohe on Friday.

McAlister, who started at flyhalf in the hope of forcing his way back into the national team ahead of the World Cup on home soil later this year, lasted barely 10 minutes before he went down with what appeared to be a head/neck injury.

Several players who looked on, while he was being treated, looked concerned and he was later taken away for tests.

Blues coach Pat Lam told the media that the full extent and nature of the injury won’t be known until Saturday.

Good Morning all Cheetah supporters!! Oh yes, and also our minnions lol

Agree with Smallies, I think Burger will dazzle us with some sublime tries again, and cause the opposition supporters to gag on their ale’s with his antics… all adds to the fun on the site ha ha.

I really can’t wait, and looking at the Cheetahs squad, methinks the Guppies, have a battle on their hands right up!!

    Go Cheetahs!!!

    10@ Cheetah4eva:
Good morning Cheetah, who’s your minions hey 🙂 Think you’re right there the first weekend of Super action going to be interesting with the Lions and Cheetahs probably giving their more illustrious opponents a hard game, now as long as the Cheetahs will put as much energy into beating the NZ and Aussie teams as well this year …

Hi All, its been a long time!!!

Cant wait for kick off..think this is going to be a great year for SA rugby. Its actually a pity that the lions only started peeking now when the super rugby schedule changed. They could of been a great help in the previous format. The use to bleed points and helping the non SA teams out with almost free points but still will be better now but could of helped the other SA rteam allot more in previous version of super rugby.

Anyway that being said. just want to wish all you guys teams a great super rugby season but not too good againts the bulls ok…:-)
