The Melbourne Rebels, the debutant team of the Super Rugby Series, hosted the Waratahs at AAMI Park, Melbourne at 19:40 AEDT (10:40 SA Time). This was the match thread for discussion of the game. The match was broadcast live on SuperSport 1, SHD & CSN on TV in SA.

After a slow start by the Waratahs they just got better and better… or is it that the Rebels fell away more and more…. resulting in a scoreless sheet for the Rebels against 7 tries by the Waratahs.

Not a good debut for the Rebels at all.

Usually a sub-standard team can contain a better team for 30 minutes or so… typically what we see here.

Rebels look like they will be sucking the Aussie hind tit this season, for sure.

hoekom? koop jy ook die Leeu storie? Ek is nou al gatvol om die leeus aan te prys, goeie flok die hele land bid nou al vir hul revival. Laat hulle maar eers wen voor ek enigiets van hulle sangkoor glo.

Kyk my wens is dat hulle goed moet word maar hulle moet dit maar eers verdien voor ek hulle begin ernstig opnm. Net soveel my reg om te dink ons gaan hull opflok as wat dit hul reg is om te dink hulle het n kans.

Good Heavens, went on lunch at half time, Tahs were 10-0 ahead!!!!!! so my score of Tahs by 12 is slightly undercooked? 🙂
