Rebels (9) 25 / Brumbies (16) 24 (Final Score)
The Melbourne Rebels hosted the Brumbies at AAMI Park, Melbourne at 10:40 SA Time (19:40 AEDT). This was the match thread for discussion of the game. The match was broadcast live on SuperSport 1 & CSN on TV in SA.
The Rebels bounced back from a horrible start in Week 1 to rack up their first ever win. They will still be concerned that they had very little possession though and the Brumbies will be kicking themselves for not converting so many chances in the Rebels 22m area into solid points.

@ grootblousmile:

Ok, shuffle up… nearly time for the game
@ sharky_forever:5 – Morning mate, I have Brumbies for a win, but think like you, think Rebels will be a lot better than last week.
@ superBul:
N vraagie boet , nie dat dit vreeslik saak maak nie maar waarom is byvoorbeeld Koos op superbru 3de maar die res van ons op die selfde punte 4de?? selfde met die ouens op 8 punte?
Minute silence observed here too… we’ll see it in every game this weekend
Game on
I got Brumbies by 15
@ Puma:
Hiyas brudda ^5
yeah but i may be wrong lol , i had the rebels for a win last weekend after the good pre season they had , well that cost me on superbru , i could have been tops now lol, damn aussies
Rebels start fast… like last week
@ sharky_forever:
12
TDM determines the position
@ sharky_forever:16 – Really can’t see them play that bad again. They will do better today, but Brumbies will win.
I have Lions for tomorrow..haha. Now if they lose I will see my butt on the bottom for sure..lol.
@ sharky_forever:
kyk hoe is die punte saamgestel, miskien het jy meer bonus points in jou totaal as hy, as syne so is met minder bonus points is hy hoër as jy
@ superBul:
oh ok lol who ever the TDM is 😆
but thanks bro
19@ Puma:
I have no faith in a bunch of mercenaries… that’s basically what the rebels are.
@ grootblousmile:13 – For sure Gbs, Knew that would happen.
Feel for the people in Christchurch. Watching the news see just about the whole city is without water and electricty in parts. They have them in tents at the moment. People have lost everything, lives, homes, business the lot. Sad to lose that. Must be very tough. My thoughts go out to them.
@ grootblousmile:
😆 cant argue with that Rudi
@ grootblousmile:22 – I know, but they really can’t play worse than last week. Just hope they play like last week when Sharks play em…..hehehehehe.
23@ Puma:
Yip!
I have watched no news this week…. so I have not seen any of the footage
Sharky het gaan kyk, hy het meer WP in jou totaal van 8 as jy……gaan kyk myne, ek het ook 7 maar ek het nog minder WP as julle en dan het ek BP’s ook wat dit beinvloed
Penalty for Rebels… chance to put their 1st Super Rugby points on the board.
Cipriani takes aim…
Missed… hehehe
End of over 8 (19 runs) Australia 58/0
@ grootblousmile:
Cipriani still hung over?
