Over
Only 4 points in the game now
Bulls 24 / 20
Goeie skop. Bulle, wakker word.
68 Jantjies releases his backline as they move towards the 22. Killian is brought down but the Bulls tacklers did not roll away and Jantjies will have a shot at goal. He nails the PENALTY to bring his side even closer.
Late tackle on Zane,,,, Morne could go for posts,,,, bit far
Missed right
70 Ten minutes left and it is anyone’s game after an impressive seconf-half comeback from the resurgent Lions. The Bulls go to the backline but the Lions are tackling hard and they turn it over. Jantjies kicks ahead and Kirchner turns and chases. He gets his clearing kick away but is flattened by a late tackle by Bezuidenhout and Steyn will take aim at the poles from the halfway line.
The Lions now throwing the kitchen sink at the Bulls
Kockott knocks, thankfully…. sjoe!
Voel of ons laasjaar laas gescore het
75 They are right there now as Whitely gets over the advantage line. Kockott costs his team by contriving to knock it on all by himslef under no pressure whatsoever, the Lions looked dangerous there and he threw the momentum away with the most basic of errors.
2 min to go,,,,
Bulls kept scoreless in the 2nd half so far
Penalty Bulls…. they go for touch
Another Penalty Bulls…. they kick out.. GAME OVER!
Bulls win by only 4
RESPECT < RESPECT LIONS really gave us a workout
79 The Bulls maul it towards the 22 and then give it to Olivier to crash it up. Kockott puts his hands in the ruck in front of the poles and John Mitchell must be regretting replacing Jano Vermaak. Steyn kicks it into the corner as the Bulls look to play the game out on the Lions tryline.
Nou die Blou!
Klink vir my ons het maar afgekak doe 2de helfte – maar ‘n wen is ‘n wen!
Geluk Bulle met die wen van die eerste helfte, Leeus het 2de helfte gewen.
Poor decision making cost the Lions this game IMO.
Too many points kicked away, and too many schoolboy like errors.
Still, they didn’t concede any points in the 2nd half and outscored the Bulls 3 tries to 2.
Not a bad start to the season.

Crap, too close for comfort. Lions gaan ‘n paar spanne die jaar seermaak.
HOE VINNIG IS VAN DEN HEEVER?
Damn, that was too close for comfort!
My Bru is smiling, I recon…. I picked the Bulls by 5 I think.
80 Marius Jonker brings an end to a thrilling game of two halves. The Bulls were ruthless in the first period, but the Lions hit back in a big way in the second half. They controlled possession and played most of the half in the Bulls 22, putting the champions under some serious pressure. The Bulls will take the away win but there is no doubt that the Lions will be a team to watch this season, they are certainly not the whipping boys they were last year. Join us tomorrow morning for the coverage of the last game of the weekend between the Reds and the Force from Brisbane.
@ grootblousmile:
well done bulls , tough luck lions , a game of 2 halves
ref wasnt the culprit here, he did however make a few mistakes both ways
I also watched the sharks game again and the ref got it right ,
bulls went to sleep in the 2nd half and allowed the lions to run at them
@ superBul:
super thats pretty much how i summed up the game too
Bulle moes bal behou het en daardie twee windhond vleuels meer gebruik het. Zane het ook baie goed gespeel, en Bakkies en Guthro was weer ysters daar voor.
OK fellas… a relieved GBS will now shut down to go to the After Match Pressers here at the Coke-Tin
Goooooooooooi Mieliessssssss!
Cheers pelle!
All i can say is believe the most successful captain in SA , this is a good away win. I will take it much rather than the good loss by the Lions.
147 vra vir Matfield of hul weet die wedstryd is 80 minute ! hehehe
