Penalty Lions, on halfway, middle of the field…. they go for touch again…. Morne would have slotted it if it was a Bulls penalty
The Lions try to put some phases together but are met with impressive defensive organisation from the Bulls. Bakkies Botha makes a high tackle on halfway and Jantjies finds touch on the 22 to set up the attacking line-out.
Another Lions penalty, up close but once again they kick for touch
Try Waylon
Good try by Waylon Murray
Goeie drie. Westryd nog lank
Lions decision making is apalling generally.
Bulls 18 / 5
The Lions drive it from the line-out before Vermaak snipes around the fringe. Minnie gets over the advantage line and the Bulls are blown up for entering the ruck from the side. The Lions are not interested in kicking at poles and kick it into the corner again. They are just short of the line now but the Bulls are committed on defence. Vermaak is brought down by Steenkamp but the ball is recycled and sent wide. Waylon Murray grabs it, hits the gap and crashes over on the left for the TRY. They backed themselves there and it paid off.
Bulls scrum now deep in Lions 22…. and they get the expected penalty.
Morne to go for posts
A knock-on from Minnie gives the Bulls a scrum on the 22 and the Lions front row collapse to turn that into a penalty. Steyn steps up and knocks the PENALTY over.
Bulls 21 / 5
Daai bloubaard slot senter van die bulle het goeie hande.
Lions offside and Morne WILL punish them…. he does!
Buls 24 / 5

Great half by The BULLS,
Dipenaar does well to grab the kick-off, he flips it to Ralapelle who finds Spies. The big No.8 sprints down the touchline dishing out hand-offs to two different tacklers. The ball is eventually passed into touch by Matfield but the Lions were offside and Steyn is given another opportunity.
Tyd vir ‘n Kameeeeeeel!
@ grootblousmile:
Bulls gaan wen met ten minste 40punte eenvoudig net te classy vir die leeus
Pietman jy hier?
Dis nou n goeie grote teen n goeie kleintjie. As die Bulle nie windgat raak nie begin ons weer met n vyftigtal die jaar.
40 Steyn makes no mistake with the PENALTY to bring an end to the first half. The Lions have toiled manfully but were blown away by an experienced and composed Bulls team that punished the home team for every little slip up. The Bulls have looked polished and dominant, join us in ten minutes time to see if that continues.
“dishing out hand-offs”
oh yeah! 🙂
Leeus eerste ´n drie druk, kan hul nog terugkom.
@ bdb:
daarom moet ons dadelik hulle hard slaan
2nd Half on!
…. and I’m having a affle and cream
Ons topsenter skop te hard.
Morne Steyn kicks off and the Lions will want to make every opportunity count in this half. That will be a massive task against such a confident and patient Bulls team who looked irresistable in the first forty minutes. The Lions carry it out of their 22 and Maku finds some space but loses the ball forward. Matfield kicks the turnover ball ahaed but it goes into touch in-goal.
Penalty Lions…. on Bulls 10m line and they go for touch yet again
Bulls spoil a potential lineout drive
The Lions put some phases together as they storm towards the ten metre line. The Bulls are offside and Jantjies kicks it into the corner to set up the attacking line-out.
Lions attacking hard but Bulls defence holding like a rock.
Lions get a penalty
