The Lions will be playing Tucuman from Argentina on Wednesday, 9 February 2011 in their second last warm up match ahead of the 2011 Super Rugby competition.
The Lions face the EP Kings on Friday and the team will be announced on Thursday.
The match against Tucuman is the only warm up game being played at Coca-Cola Park, so Lions supporters who have missed visiting the Park for some live rugby action will be excited to return to their home ground after a three month absence.

Oh…..this is going to be a bruiser, Those Tucuman guys are dirty and very very physical.
Who’s the ref, he must be awake. I see Michael Rhodes is on the bench, I didn’t know he had left Natal.

Well when I was a boy it was a pre requisite for living in Jo burg….but these days I think the guys have gone a bit soft. 😉
Kyk as dit van die wtr ondersteuners van Transvaal (LIONS) afhang gaan dinge die jaar sommer alles in plek val. Ek dink dat JM ook maar kort gaan kom. Dit vat nie net een jaar om n span te bou nie.
Trivia from SA Rugby
The Sharks have played in 184 Vodacom Super Rugby games since 1996, winning 89…and losing precisely 89 as well (with six draws).
Only four teams have won Vodacom Super Rugby titles – the Crusaders (7), the Blues (3), the Vodacom Bulls (3) and the Brumbies (2).
@ superBul:
Have they given the other SA teams records?
@ 4man:
There is quite a lot of points, go to.

@ superBul:
I disagree….when it was Super 10 Transvaal won it under Pienaar….circa 94 or 96 I think. But I suppose you will say “it wasn’t vodacom”
OK…I see the Sharks are the most prolific winners from South Africa and have also scored the most tries out of South African teams.
Where’s Puma…I don’t see him on the site at all?
11@ 4man:
Yeah been wondering that as well, maybe gbs can prompt him to come around for a talk here again sometime.
@ 4man:
This is one of the trivia points from SA rugby official website. I dont know why they dont include the S10. This little fact cost me a thousand rand bet against a Transvaal supporter.
