The Lions impressive win against the Sharks in their warm-up match Tuesday night, did not come without a price to pay.

Andre Pretorius injured a hamstring AGAIN, and this yo-yo-man’s run of bad luck just continues.

Andre Pretorius suffered a grade one hamstring injury in the game.

Pretorius has long history of hamstring injuries, and was ruled out for the entire 2010 Super 14 after going down in the Western Force’s warm-up games. The latest injury is not as severe, but it will give John Mitchell a headache considering his premier flyhalf, Elton Jantjies, is still undergoing a conditioning program.

In related news, Deon van Rensburg, the Lions midfielder suffered a jaw injury and will be assessed by medical staff.

It’s as if Yo-yo has got totally defective Hamstrings….

… wondering whether too much Gym Training over an extended period is not sometimes counter productive, resulting in shortened muscles rather than more flexible muscles which one gains in a more natural playing environment…

    @ grootblousmile:
The guy went to school in Alberton (Hoerskool Dinamika), they don’t have hamstrings down there!
