This 2 overs will kill off Australia
13 from this over now
India needs 41 from 54
I would call the batting power play now, Australia can be unsettled by that more
Very tidy Ozzie over
Just 2 runs from it.
Spinner taking the pace off the ball.
GBS was dit warm daar by jou vandag, hel ek het byna gevrek, in son en dit was seker by die 40 grade

Was nie te aaklig nie…. en die aircon in die kantoor maak dit mooi.
Aaagh shame nou kry Brett Lee nog boonop n blou oog. Nasty bounce of the ball cut his eye open
7 overs left (42 balls), India needs only 32
Tidy Ozzie over again, 3 off it only
7 off the over, 5 overs (30 balls left)… only 22 needed
6 off Brett Lee’s 1st ball
Gaan lekker wees om WC sonder AUS te kyk 😆 Ek het hul nogal gepick
15 needed off 24 balls
702@ superBul:
Ek het India gepick met 8 runs of 2 wickets
Single figures…
9 needed from 21 balls
4 needed from 3 overs…. it’s all over, bar the shouting
India win with 14 balls to spare…
Ozzie OUT!
Good!!!! I’m happy for our local laundryman and my regular taxi driver (from Laudium in Pretoria), who both give me daily updates on the cricket.
Now for the Poms….. GO Sri Lanka, kick their fortuitous lilywhite arses out of there!!!!
Big day today for the Proteas, would be really good if we win, not going to make any predictions regarding SA cause its something I would have loved us to win before and am really desperate to see it happen but after all the previous Cups just rather keep on hoping and see what happens.
Don’t know why but from about half through the group stages I got a feeling that whoever wants to win the Cup will have to beat Pakistan in the final.
NZ won the toss and elected to bat
709 I do however think that India will take Pakistan in the semi……..
Pakistan are the aussies of the sub-continent….love to hate them
With the Ozzies not playing in the finals, will their supporters say that whoever wins the WC are not the real Champs as they didn’t beat the Ozzies in the final?
A bit like the supporters of a certain rugby team………………..
New Zealand 190/4 (42.6 ov)
Sri Lanka
New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat
Don’t think NZ has enough here. But thought they never had enough against us and they did.
Only turned on tv now to see the cricket. So not sure how that pitch is.
Go Black Caps.
New Zealand 217 (48.5 ov)
Sri Lanka 220/5 (47.5 ov)
Sri Lanka won by 5 wickets (with 13 balls remaining)
Super, it took me almost 20min to try and log on here. Not sure why. Anyhow finally got logged on. Now sometimes posts take long to go through as well. Speak to gbs about it. Don’t think it is my pc cause I am able to logged onto other sites very quick.
Anyhow hope India win this.
Go India.
India 90/1 after 14 overs.
Mohammad Hafeez to Tendulkar, 1 run, dropped again! What on earth is happening out there? Tendulkar tried a whip-pull to midwicket, popping the ball in the air … Umar Akmal is there for the shot at a wide midwicket, times the jump and gets both hands to it, and it pops out! Hafeez is fuming, Afridi is utterly disconsolate. That’s the fourth drop!
Saeed Ajmal to Tendulkar, OUT, finally, they’ve held one! Sachin falls
SR Tendulkar c Shahid Afridi b Saeed Ajmal 85 (115b 11×4 0x6) SR: 73.91
India 260/9 – that seems quite a daunting total especially chasing at night, but seen little footage of the game so don’t know what the pitch is like, help anyone? Looks like Pakistan may need a whirlwind innings from Afridi if they are to have a chance, although he hasn’t really fired with the bat yet in the tournament. Beginning to think the hunch I had mid way through the group stages that Pakistan would be the team to beat in the final was way off.
