The Sharks have named a squad of 27 players for their Super Rugby warm-up tournament against the Stormers and the Lions in Cape Town.

The Neo Africa tri-series pits the Sharks in warm-up matches against the Lions on February 1st and the Stormers on February 5th, with both clashes being played at Newlands Stadium.

John Plumtree side will travel without Jean Deysel who is still recovering from a long term injury while Keegan Daniel and Steven Sykes will miss out due to minor niggles. That means that Daniel Adonga, Mark Richards and Anton Bresler are afforder the chance to impress in a touring party which also includes new recruits Meyer Bosman, Jacques-Louis Potgieter and Conrad Hoffman. John Smit will lead the side with the Springbok captain returning from the injury which ruled him out of the latter part of last season.

The Sharks begin their Super Rugby campaign with a home clash against the Cheetahs on 19 February.

    I remember last year how poor the Bulls looked in their warm up games. Wonder if the Sharks will play flat out in these games. How much do you want to show the opposition?
