@ superBul:
No problem. You’re welcome to get my e-mail and other details from GBS.
Cheers all.
@ grootblousmile:
Not my cup of tea.
My wife hunts every year down on the farm and gets quite narked when I tell her that she should catch the buck with a knife, and that even a 6 year old can kill a defenceless animal from 300 metres away with a high powered rifle and a telescopic sight.
How to win friends and influence people!
@ grootblousmile:
Dalk beginners luck.
122@ Scrumdown:
For me it’s more about the trip with my son… and I must say I make bloody fine biltong, so that’s what it’s about.
Will see if I like the hunting part of things though…
So tomorrow it’s boshoed uitgrawe, old shoddy jeans, good old walking shoes…
123@ superBul:
Ek’s mos kalm, soos ‘n landmyn…. hehehe
… tot mense op my beginne trap….
Graeme Smith: “Since the wicket is damp, we’ve decided to bowl. The ground staff have been incredible – getting the pitch ready and all the training facilities. We are coming off a tough time for bowlers in UAE, but we are geared up for the home season.”
MS Dhoni: “Well of course, we would have fielded as well. The pitch looks good on the top, but there’s plenty of moisture inside. We are quite happy with the preparation, despite the rain in the last couple of days. We are raring to go.”
Ahhhh, nice grass on the pitch, should suit our bowlers.
1st ball about to be bowled
Almost a wicket from the 1st ball… Dale Steyn into the attack first
Only 1 run from the 1st over
Wicketttttttttt, Sehwag!!
India 1 / 1
Ruhul Dravid now in
One down
1/1
Fark, SA bowlers right on target at the moment.
Appeal for LBW, not given
So, Dale Steyn won the 1st battle against Sehwag… I like it
2.1
Steyn to Sehwag, OUT, Steyn 1, Sehwag 0! Sehwag left the first two go in the first over. Can’t hold back this time. Gets one on a length wide outside off and tries to go up and over with the upper cut. Hashim Amla was lurking at third man, not all the way back to the boundary. He was there specifically for this shot. Sehwag was not entirely to the pitch of it, and ended up scooping it in the air. Amla snaffles it. SA have struck a huge blow.
V Sehwag c Amla b Steyn 0 (3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00
Morne is moer tense , die bal kom skaars uit sy hand
Steyn swaai die bal lekker
Nie ‘n maklike pitch nie, kan klaar sien daar’s bounce…
Damn, Ghambir not given out after it came off the glove…. travesty!
Why don’t we have the bloody review system going??
Die bleddie Indiers wat te skyt bang is vir die referals
THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN OUT  WHY the heck don’t we have review in this test? WHY NOT?
We could have had two out now.
@ grootblousmile:141 – gbs, AGREE damn travesty that. Why no review?
145@ Puma:
Hey Oupa…. happy birthday!
There’s been a couple of birthday wishes for you, earlier on this thread, first one from Blue Bird
@ Puma:
We wanted it, there is a lot of controversy about the Indians reluctance to use it. ICC must put it foot down and make it compulsory. Test Cricket needs all the drama and intrigue to survive.
@ superBul:143 – Super was it India that said no to the referrals? I say there should be no choice but referrals should be a automatic thing now in a test the review.
NO side should have a say in it. Just must be part and parcel of the game now.
5.2
Morkel to Gambhir, no run, SA roar for caught behind and umpire Davis says no. Rip snorter of a bouncer, lands around off stump, holds its line and Gambhir instinctively brings the hands in front of his face before dropping it. That touched something on its way to Boucher. Could have only been the glove. India may have survived this one due to the absence of the UDRS.
