I think I am right in sending Birthday Greetings to Puma today.
Puma have a very happy 55th Birthday, you are probably one of the most popular rugby bloggers in South Africa, you hold a special place in our hearts, never a bad word to say about anyone. Your love of sports shines through with your enthuastic comments and banter.
Have a great day…. All the best to you and your ‘kak knees’!! 😆
@ grootblousmile:
Thanks for the offer, but if I don’t get this work finished I’ll have a pissed off client, and a pissed off wife and I don’t know which is worse.
The client just won’t pay me, but the retribution from “er indoors” could be far worse.
I’ll take a rain check until after Christmas if you don’t mind. Then I’ll buy you a beer if the sun ever comes out for more than an hour.
91@ Blue Bird:
Oh my greatness, yes, it is Ouma Puma’s birthday!!
Happy, happy, old timer…. may your knees and back not pain today… hehehe
92@ Scrumdown:
OK, new plan then… mail me that Quattro Pro file, I’ll open it, PDF it, then mail it back….
@ grootblousmile:
I am thinking should we have a whip wound and buy Uncle Puma some new knees? 😆
Trouble he was such a frisky youngster he just wore his initial set out!
@ grootblousmile:
Sent you the mail. Thanks.
Why is it that if we get more than 3 drops of rain everything stops working and goes tits up?
Outlook Express wouldn’t connect, so had to send the mail via the web.
Heavy rain interrupted the opening round of the co-sanctioned South African Open at Durban Country Club on Thursday.
Is it Really Pumas bday?
Thought it is next Thursday, hell times fly if it is today.
Congrats then old friend , enjoy your day and i hope they spoil you today. May we have more of your typos for years to come.

Here we go again for the Aussies, but classic commentary from Ian Chappell – “I don’t think Ricky Ponting is batting poorly at the moment, he just keeps getting out”. That’s kept the smile on my face as an ardent Aussie fan.
96@ Scrumdown:
Received the Mail, converted your files to Excel Workbooks… mailed them back.
Seems you really need to make a visit with that dodgy PC when time allows….
95@ Blue Bird:
Think Ouma Puma needs more than just knees…. hehehe
The sun is out here and at Centurion, but it is weak… like it’s on dimm only….
Folks….
I will be putting up proper details of Jinx’s funeral arrangements on his tribute thread, just received a mail from his brother Russell
@ grootblousmile:
Yeah need to invest in some new hardware in the new year.
This steam driven model doesn’t have enough oomph to drive the newer 3d design software, but it’s ok for the 2d stuff.
I think the problem is with the network infrastructure where I rent the office. It’s not the most reliable at the best of times.
Umpires will inspect the pitch at 14:20… apparently the only hassle is the 2 or 3m just before the crease, last run-up steps for bowlers…
Match expected to start at 15:00 and play could go on till 18:30, light allowing.
103@ Scrumdown:
What 3D design Softs do you use, or intend to use…. I will have those too.
Autocad 2010?
3D Studio Max?
Google Sketchup?
3D Design Softs requires a good Graphics Card and ENOUGH Ram, to shorten the rendering time lapse.. and design softs usually makes big output files, so a large enough Hard Drive helps a lot too.
I’m looking for AutoCAD 2010 for 2d.(I’m using 2004 version) I have Autodesk Inventor 2010, but this machine struggles to run it. Not enough ram I think.
I’m also looking for Solid Edge and Solid Works.
@ Scrumdown:
is this your day job, or a hobby?
Who of us bloggers work or stay in Swaziland?
@ superBul:
I was in Swaziland until June. Now back in JHB.
It’s my job.
106@ Scrumdown:
Was actually busy downloading Solid Edge and Solid Works for another client… so I’ll have them too, when you come, eventually.
Have’nt got Autodesk Inventer, but I have some other Autodesk Software… can’t remember the version but know I have Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Viz
@ grootblousmile:
I’ve got Inventor on a dvd. You’re welcome to make a copy if you want to.
110@ Scrumdown:
Thanks, will do… want it!!
@ Scrumdown:
We want to travel through Swazi down to St Lucia next year , must talk to you for tips. Is it worth it to stay over or just drive through?
I’m working tomorrow, and looks like a site visit to Balfour on Saturday.
If time allows I’ll give you a call and try to drop it off over the weekend. May only be Sunday though.
113@ Scrumdown:
No hurry, I don’t use it myself… it will be just for my Software Library….
@ superBul:
There are some nice things to do. Unfortunately I think the game parks there are perhaps not quite up to your standards.
Whenever I went to Natal I always tried to avoid the main border post at Lavumisa, and went to one at Onverwacht. Quiet and quick, literally 1 man and a dog border post. ±12 km’s of gravel road though.
Lavumisa was always busy, chaotic and dirty. I have been told that they’ve done some work to tidy it up, but it’s still the main border post between KZN and Swaziland so will always be busy.
@ grootblousmile:
OK. Maybe after Christmas then.
I’m due back on 27th.
Toss: Graeme Smith wins the toss and South Africa will bowl. Fasten your seatbelts folks, for Sehwag v Steyn will be upon us soon.
Gents, I see the cricket is due to kick off at 15h00, so I think I’ll pack up and go do some work at home.
Or maybe have a lot of beer and watch in the pub and wipe my rear end on the client.
Still, there are 24 hours in a day.
@ Scrumdown:
would love some advice on Swaziland, i would love to do some things there if it is worth it, will ask you later , enjoy the bit of cricket.
I’ve just confirmed, BonzaiGBS and myself are going hunting tomorrow and Saturday….
Wonder if I can still shoot straight…. and on top of that I’ve never hunted game before, never shot an animal.
Well, will see tomorrow I suppose.
