Fair enough Super, lets wait and see. Johnson is on fire this morning, getting back to how he was when he played us.
@ Winston:
England will be crushed if they go on to lose this match. The whole Ashes series hangs on this innings
Colly just got out to a snorter from Johnson. Gosh.
Yeah, because they will lose momentum, but there is still a long way to go in this game. Can Aus take 20 wickets.that is the question.
My word, that was a surprise! I though that was too high for sure, and Marais Erasmus gave it not out. But the replays showed Collingwood’s leg was angled a little, so although it hit him above the knee roll it wasn’t actually that high. Here’s Matt Prior.
32.3
Johnson to Collingwood, OUT, 140.5 kph, another lbw shout as this one swings in, but it’s given not out. Ponting asks for a review, but that looked high and off-side. But wait, the replays show that shape was enough to straighten it, and it’s hitting the off stump cleanly! Decision overturned! Collingwood’s gone!
PD Collingwood lbw b Johnson 5 (17b 0x4 0x6) SR: 29.41
When Johnson gets it right he is scary. But I’m not so sure about his back up Super.
Last 10 ovs 23/5 RR 2.3
Bell is the key here to get them close.
This last reversal is discussed a lot, they are all surprised. Not so clearcut for me. There was benefit of doubt.
In real time it looked not out but after the review it showed that it was out. Thats why I love the review system,it gets decisions closer to being perfect.
I’m so glad we are seeing games on quick pitches and not the dust bowls we have seen recently. Gives the bowlers a chance.
@ Winston:
311
the one thing i dont trust in the reviews is the trajectory of the ball after it pitched.
@ Winston:
Agree watching fast bowlers on fire is more to my liking.
Morkell is fast moving up the world ranking.
Steyn no 1
Morkell no 6
But after this test match in Centurion he will move up more
Johnston are at 7 and todays bowling will do him good too
The thing is Super I dont expect every pitch to be a green top but I just enjoy an even contest between bat and ball and not these rubbish games where there are scores of 500-3 but no results,it is bad for test cricket.
Morning all
What a day of cricket we had yesterday.
@ Blouste:316 – Morning Blouste, Yip yesterday was a brilliant day for our cricket. Never would I have thought we would get them almost all out in 3 hours.
Now see England are 163/6 That too has surprised me this morning, thought England would have been well away by now. Oz must be fighting back.
Forgot, Morning Super and Winston.
Hope we get them out fast this morning and not let that tail wag too long.
Hi all. I guess the lesson to learn here is that Australia are inherently tough, its in their make up,they may not be the side that they used to be but they will always be competitive.
I just hope the pitch flattens out a bit today and we bat big and put them under serious pressure.
@ Winston:319 – Winnie, Agree they are fighters and especially with their cricket where they have huge pride.
Maybe might support Oz here cause don’t want England catching us at number 2 if we lose the test series to India. Not that it looks like we will, but every day it will change.
Sorry BB just want my team to keep their position. You will understand if you read this.
@ Winston:320 – Winne, hoping for that too.
Super, What happens if we draw this series and England win the series against Oz, do they still leap frog us to number 2?
Enjoy the cricket boys… BonzaiGBS and myself are about to get in the car for our hunting trip.
SuperBees… I’ve just cleared the freegin SPAM which came in till now…. your turn next, go to and watch the COMMENTS on Site Admin… filter it there.
Australia lead by 93 runs with 10 wickets remaining
Day 2 – Session 3
@ Puma:
Puma i am not sure but i think it will be England no 2. But they dont look like winning this one now.
I wont be here long go to this link for score updates

8.6
Finn to Watson, no run
8.5
Finn to Watson, FOUR, get your hard hats, Watson is on the charge, another long-hop from Finn and Watson stood back and crashed it between midwicket and fine leg for another boundary
8.4
Finn to Watson, FOUR, 135.4 kph, wow, this was mullered to the square-leg boundary, horrid delivery, short and wide and Watson climbed into it. Finn leaking runs already
8.3
Finn to Watson, no run, 136.0 kph, this time it’s well outside off stump and Watson need not engage
8.2
Finn to Watson, FOUR, 132.3 kph, second ball and the first boundary off Finn, it was a short ball that Watson was happy to aim an expansive pull, England had a man posted 10 metres in from the deep midwicket rope and it went over his head
8.1
Finn to Watson, 2 runs, 129.5 kph, Finn was expensive yesterday and already there are a couple here as Watson very neatly turns this off his midriff into the leg side
Right first job done for Australia, they’ve seen off Anderson’s opening burst. Here’s Steven Finn…
38.4
Morkel to Dhoni, OUT, hit on the pad and Dhoni’s lbw! Morkel picks up his fifth. The ball was fuller again and angled into the right-hander. Dhoni might have wanted to come forward to that but he didn’t and was caught on the crease. Umpire Ian Gould made a quick decision.
MS Dhoni lbw b Morkel 33 (87m 50b 2×4 2×6) SR: 66.00
End of over 9 (14 runs) Australia 30/0
