Botha took three wickets during the morning session in a teasing spell, then after lunch Morkel wrapped up the innings with the second new ball to finish with for 5 for 54 and leave South Africa well placed to push for victory

Saeed Ajmal to Smith, OUT, and finally Graeme gets himself out! it was floated up on leg, turning away from Smith who went for the sweep against the turn, missed it completely, got hit on the back leg, and Asoka raised his finger in a flash, the only question is would the turn have taken it away from off stump, end of a scratchy knock nevertheless

SA lose their captain at 76/2

The MTN40 semifinalists will already be decided this weekend if the Nashua Mobile Cape Cobras and Chevrolet Warriors fail to win their matches on Sunday.

The bizhub Highveld Lions are already guaranteed their semifinal place following their five-wicket win over the Nashua Dolphins on Friday night.

They are on 17 points in Pool B from four successive victories with the Dolphins trailing them on eight points and the Cobras yet to get off the mark.

The Cobras play the Dolphins at Boland Park on Sunday and need a victory and then for other results to go their way through the remainder of the pool phase, in order to have any hope of a semifinal spot.

Pool A is almost as clear cut with the Nashua Titans and the Chevrolet Knights, who both won on Friday night against the Cobras and the Warriors respectively, on 13 points apiece.

The Warriors are the defending champions and they have everything to play for against the Titans at SuperSport Park on Sunday.

The Warriors are on four points from their solitary home win.

Morne Morkel and Johan Botha ran through Pakistan in the morning to give their side a more than handy lead, and then the South Africa batsmen continued to rub it in, consolidating the lead to 271 by stumps. With eight wickets standing, and Amla and Kallis looking immoveable, things are looking ominous for Pakistan

Looks like the Titans are not far off from winning this one superBul, quite a good come back seeing the poor start with the bat. How long has Ravi Bopara being playing for the Dolphins? I think he is one of the unlucky players in the England setup who hasn’t been given enough chances to establish himself.

    @ superBul:
Who would win if it ended now, would be cruel if Duckworth cost the Titans, but then again as you mentioned earlier they did waste 11 balls in their innings.

Yes there was quite a bit written prior to Pietersen joining the Dolphins over here but then it seemed to get quiet, so I can’t find any reference to how well he did in the time he was there, did you get to see any of his batting?

Wat het hy in sy koffie deesdae, of like hy die Kiwis minder as ons.

India’s off-spinner Harbhajan Singh frustrated New Zealand with the bat once again, smashing 85 runs off 82 balls on the third day of the second test in Hyderabad on Sunday.

The feisty tailender hammered five sixes and seven fours to add 69 runs for an unbroken last wicket partnership with Shanthakumaran Sreesanth (14 not out), taking India to 436-9 at the close at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium.

Harbhajan’s onslaught followed his maiden Test century that helped India salvage a draw in the opener against the Kiwis in Ahmedabad.

New Zealand bowlers, led by Daniel Vettori (4-123), had reduced India to 367-9 but Harbhajan’s defiant knock ensured India finished the day with a handy 86-run lead.

Wat gooi Gary Kirsten in die manne se koffie.

Harbhajan Singh became the first man to score back-to-back Test centuries from No. 8, in the process almost ruling out an Indian defeat

Before that, though, Harbjajan continued entertaining Hyderabad, adding 105 with Sreesanth, the third-highest 10th-wicket partnership for India. Thirty-six of those came today. Daniel Vettori finally separated them, more than 45 minutes into the day, with one that went straight with the angle, catching Sreesanth in front of off, thus completing a five-for.

Resuming on 85, Harbhajan showed no anxiety whatsoever in trying to get to the hundred. He faced two consecutive overs from Tim Southee, picking three couples into the heavily populated leg side. Then Sreesanth found a single against spin, and Harbhajan welcomed that with a six straight into the sight screen. Even on 98, Harbhajan turned down singles at the start of the over. Batting like a proper batsman, he exploited the tired New Zealand minds, getting there with two easy singles spread over two overs. He celebrated it with another six, and Sreesanth with an edged four. Sreesanth, too, lasted 71 balls, his longest innings in Tests.
