England and Leicester Tiger Tom Croft has been discharged from Charing Cross hospital where scans revealed evidence of a fracture to his right scapula (shoulder blade).

The RFU has revealed that Croft will return to his club to see a specialist this week to determine if any further action needs to be taken and how long recovery will take.

Croft was quickly identified as a threat in the match after his searing break down the wing but was forced from the field after 21 minutes.

Charlie Hodgson suffered a bruised left foot playing against the Springboks but he will return to his club Sale Sharks in consultation with the England medical team.

Leicester Tigers fly half Toby Flood and Northampton Saints winger Chris Ashton have both recovered from blows to the head and are returning to be reassessed by their club medical teams.
