A full afternoon of rugby awaits Newlands fans on Saturday, with four matches being played. There are limited standing and single seated tickets still available, and these can be purchased from the Newlands Box Office and Computicket.
The action kicks off at 11h15, when Vodacom WP u19, current log leaders, take on the third placed Sharks.
At 12h45, the Semi-Final of the Amateur competition takes place. The WP Amateur team was selected from club players who do not have provincial contracts. The team participated in the Coastal Region of the SARU Amateur team competition and qualified to play a semi-final against the Cheetahs from the Central Region. The winner of Saturday’s match will play the Northern Region in a final of the Amateur Competition.
The final curtain raiser of the afternoon sees the under 21’s do battle when Vodacom WP u21 take on the Sharks at 14h45. Vodacom WP are competing for first place on the log. The Sharks and WP are currently in second and third place respectively with 46 points each but the Sharks are ahead due to a better points difference.

Seems like some strange selections!
Ant Pakistani bookmakers around?
Or even ANY Pakistani bookmakers!
Uhm….Don’t get it.
Does Allistair agree with Divvie that Jean should play wing?
Nonesensical!
@ Met Uysh:
It would appear so.
Either that or he’s been asked to play him there.
3@ Met Uysh:
4@ Scrumdown:
Well, the alternative was the non-defending JJ Engelbrecht… so whether WP has the poor defending Jean or the non-defending JJ there… same difference.
If I was the Sharks I would hit hard and continiously to the (Sharks) left, with Mvovo there against Jean on WP’s right wing side….. the points will come.
