Sharks (35) 63 / Leopards (6) 6 (Final Score)
The Sharks hosted the Platinum Leopards at ABSA Stadium, Durban at 19:10 SA Time. This is the match thread for discussion of the game. The match was broadcast live on SuperSport 1 on DSTV in SA.
The Sharks ran in 9 converted tries, totally demolishing the Leopards who only managed to convert 2 penalties for all their trouble.
It was like men against boys with the Sharks already bagging their bonus point for tries before 20 minutes had lapsed.
The Sharks have secured their home-semi now, only question which remains is whether WP can catch and surpass them for top spot on the Log.

60@ biltongbek:
Bulle mis hulle groot ysters jong…. en hulle was maar wishy-washy sover in die CC.
Pretorius kicking has been superb.
@ biltongbek:
Trying to make me envious with talk of sunshine and warmth!! 🙁
@ Blue Bird:53 – 2 hours??? that is kinda long ride especially in the wet conditions. Hope your trainer has worked out your schedule correct..hehehe. I have no idea about the bike training hardly rode a bike, but did plenty of casual bike riding in Holland.
Hope you doing the hills cause that is what you will face plenty of in your race. Massive hills more like going up a mountain…LOL.
@ grootblousmile:
This could be your lucky weekend, you may overtake me on superBru……
How can Puma beat me on two of the superBru’s but not on the third one?? Most odd
@ Blue Bird:67 – Yeah, it looks odd to me too. They cheating BB….hehehehe.
@ Puma:
My trainer is being very encouraging!! We have quite a few hills in the Cotswolds, however not like a mountain, I am being told to enjoy the race I need to be pretty fit, so I am putting the hours in!
OK ….Out for now, so nice to catch up with you guys.
Have a good weekend.
GO BLUE BULLS………. 🙂
@ Blue Bird:69 – Cheers BB, I am out of here too.
Back tomorrow for a bit.
Cheers everyone AND GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SHARKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
2nd Half On
Blue Bird, yoy know what I love most about summer?
Open windows, fresh air, listening to the birds in the morning.
I live adjacent to an eco estate and when I sit in my TV room I have this koppie in my view and open veld, lovely.
Cheers Puma & BB
Try for Odd-one again
Sharks 42 / 6
Walter Karrevaan Venter subbed by Van Zyl
Critical knock by the Leopards, 4m out
Game has fizzled out now, lots of knocks, both sides
If Keegan Daniel was about 5cm taller and about 10kg heavier, he would have been a monster… all heart, but a bit on the small side.
@ Blue Bird 48: Sorry for the delay got logged out, yes its one of those things on my still to do list you certainly make it sound great!
20 mins gone : Ulster 6 Glasgow 8 – Ruan Pienaar has kicked 2 penalties and missed one from just inside his half, in case any Sharkies out there are interested in one of your old boys.
3 Changes for Sahrks, Lambie on for Yo-Yo, Pat Celliers on for Doc Jannie, Vulindlu on for Riaan Swanepoel
Try Mvovo
Try Pienaar! Took a tricky pass behind him from a rolling maul and ran abot 5m to touch down. Great conversion by Pienaar from near the touchline.
Sharks 49 / 6
Sharks now messing with my Bru prediction… my prediction was 35 point margin for Sharks… has now gone up to 43 already… eishhhhhh
Now the Sharks do a driving maul from a lineout…. then out… now a metre short… try Eugene van Staden
Sharks 56 / 6
Doc Jannie back on
8 tries already from the Sharks
