Former Springbok training squad back Earl Rose will play rugby out of Kimberley from 2011 after he has agreed to join the Griquas on a one year deal.
Twenty six year old Rose has fallen out of favour with the Lions and had been linked with a move overseas after he was dropped from the Lions Lions’ Super 14 and Currie Cup squads.
He refused an offer from the Leopards last month and then controversially out on the Lions’ team in Rustenburg only for his brother Jody to also go missing.
Rose will join the Griquas at the start of November and will link up with Springbok Sevens star Fabian Juries who has been signed by the Griquas as cover for Bjorn Basson.
Swak! I hope that he doesn’t play for the Cheetahs in the S14.

1@ Loosehead:
Bwahahaha… were’nt you one of the guys who joked with the Bulls when there was a slight possibility that Rose would go to the Bulls?
You can be damn sure that Rose is now available to be chosen to represent the Cheetahs in the Super 15…
